iPhone 7 Overheating

I got the same problem soon as I got in to a app phone heats up when I’m on the phone to someone my phone doesn’t heat up my battery drains to fast does anyone have the problem connecting to wifi with the iPhone 7 Plus

My iphone 7 overheated just one time. When it happened, I simply turned off my phone and put it in the freezer for 3-5 minutes, take it out, wait til the cold subsides a little the turn it back on. My phone is perfectly fine!

You are WRONG, sir. It is aso very much an issue when the phone runs so hot that it causes the battery to drain in one hour of video playback, which has been what the YouTube app has been causing. Who’s spreading misinformation now? Except your misinformation is actually dangerous and harmful as someone might actually believe what you’re saying and not fix their phone thinking that’s normal, till one day soon enough they end up having to spend a ton of money on a new battery as the old one would have died much sooner than a battery ran in normal conditions would have. I am so done with your nonsense. Don’t contact me again.

that feature of holding a power button and home button is not working on my iPhone 7 i m running version 11.1.1! Problem is that when i click photos or take videos or play some hardcore graphics game suddenly my phone gets heat-up and it get too hot i m worried that it might have blast ! And i m not using any untrusted Apps which is under third party, Should i concern to apple service? or i should wait for the next update? (from India)

I have the same problem. When I’m on a phone call it heats up really quickly. Sometimes it heats up when I not even doing anything. This is very frustrating because the battery drains very quickly and it angers me because this phone is $700 but keeps over heating.

Omg same thing EXACTLY THE SAME THING is happening to me right now. My first replacement they gave me had temperature issues , it showed a temperature warning icon on the screen and it was pretty scary. They replaced it for me and thought I was all good. The second device they gave me ended up having vibration and 3D Touch issues. When someone would call me it wouldn’t vibrate. The charger I received in the box randomly stopped working on this phone and it stated this accessory isn’t compatible or something like that. I returned to the apple store after one **** of a show speaking with numerous people in apple support. Finally they offer to replace it again but I had no hope. Sure enough this phones having temperature issues and also the speaker st the top randomly either shut off or went quiet and when playing music it only goes to the bottom one mostly making the audio sound unequal similar to the 6s I had where it was just down firing speaker. Now I just got off the phone with them because they said there isn’t any warranty left on this REPLACMENT DEVICE meanwhile its only 2 weeks old. Either way if they replace it or not I have no hope for this refurbished warranty. They just changed the words around I still believe it’s a referbished device. Fingers crossed , maybe fourth times the final one! I’m tired

Unfortunately Apple does not have any shops in Thailand and no iPhone service center. Despite having one year guarantee, Apple do not service or repair or exchange iPhones in Thailand, because they have no service repair center. Once you buy an iPhone here, you have no support. I found this out when i called them and they said they dont have a repair center, and i asked then how on earth can they fulfil the one year guarantee terms? The Apple Thailand assistant hung up on me with that unanswerable question. indeed, she was in Singapore, because Apple Thailand feed all their stuff to Singapore Office to handle. Singapore Apple service station wont service any iPhones bought outside of Singapore.

Same here! It was charging for a while when I picked it up to answer a skype call and actually burned my fingers. It was displaying temperature warning and was so hot that I could not even hold it.

Now when I try to charge it, even when the phone is off, it still heats like crazy, takes a day to charge till 80% and loses all this charge in an hour, even when off. Latest iOS 11.2.6. Factory reset does not help.

Dad that it's out of 1-year warranty already. Apparently Apple become one of those manufactures who design products to outlive warranty for just a little bit.

Thanks for the explanation! This sounds logical. I use original iPhone charger and wire, but they can fails as well.

What worries me is what could happen if I didn't had this Skype call at 2.00AM. Would it burn a hole in my table? Would it heat to a point where battery explodes and sets my house on fire? Can I sleep safe while my phone is charging?

And where I live there are no service centers capable of replacing iPhone parts (that's why I prefered Apple - their devices were proven to work for many years trouble-free in Jobs times). I'm now considering running a "test charge" with a thermometer attached and filming it. Somewhere safe.

The phone would have shut down before it got hot enough the damage your table. Apple has not had a problem with batteries catching fire. The worst that has happened is the battery has expanded and forced the screen up. Apple usually will replace the phone for the cost of a battery if that happens.

my phone gets overheat when I turn my personal hotspot on

on ios10 i didnt have this problem but now i cant use my phone for more than an hour when its hotspot!

i dont know that should i do since there is no official apple stores in Iran

Having the same issue tried the process stated above for powering down "The best way to check this issue is by holding down power and Home button until the screen goes black then remove finger from home while continuing to hold power." but I only get SIRI waiting for me to say something. The only way to power down my phone is the lock/power button and the down volume button. With this still work?

But it is still 40% more powerful than the iphone 6s!
