CarPlay problems after iOS 10 Update

Ever since iOS 10 my CarPlay functions have been very glitchy, mostly when I got navigation going on at the same time. Here's a few things I encounter:

  • Music freezes (can't change songs, can't tap into the app if I tap out of it, icon zooms in once it gets past freezing)
  • Siri mutes herself when reading texts (only seems to happen when I listen to a text straight from a notification
  • CarPlay itself randomly disconnects for a couple seconds at a time (although it MAY be my wire but it has yet to show any tears)

Also some other pet peeves from BEFORE iOS 10 that are still happening now with Music:

Some radio station genres found in Apple Music on iPhone/iPad/Mac are not listed in CarPlay

Anyone else w/ CarPlay suffering from these problems?

Since the iOS 10.1 update I have had significant connection issues with CarPlay in my 2016 Honda Civic. Sometimes when you connect you get a message that it is not a compatible device. Most of the time it says that it is connecting and then says no connection found. I have rebooted the car audio system and done a hard reset on my phone. Occasionally, I can get a connection but in the middle of maps or music it just disconnects requiring a reset of everything again. I had no issues prior to the iOS 10 upgrade (iOS 9.3.5). I also deleted the car from my phone (CarPlay) and the phone from the car (CarPlay) and "re-paired" it, same results. My wife's phone does the exact same thing. I have also replaced the lightning cable with a brand new "out of the box" official Apple cable with no improvement. Is there a way to update CarPlay in the car? Is there something that I am missing?

My Pandora program does not work at all in CarPlay mode. Just says Loading, never had this problem before and am quite unhappy since I've paid for Pandora for a year (only $50 bucks - but still) Since my AVH 4000NEX Pioneer does not have a 3.5mm jack, can not listen. Also getting very strange readings on the Music Library. Some times it says I only have 1 song in the Library, and the Playlists do not show up. Quite disappointed that Apple would release this with such an important function crippled by bugs.

Same problem here.

Playlists in Carplay are arranged in alphanumerical order depending of filenames.

I have also the VW App-Connect system from 2015 and have also the newestes firmware for App-Connect.

I' m in contact with Apple support and engineers.

Seems that there is a communication problem between App-COnnect and iOS 10.

I don't have CarPlay, but since upgrading to iOS 10.0.1 on my iPhone 6 Plus, I've been getting the same random "accessory not supported" pop-ups on my phone. I have it connected via Lightning/USB cable to the USB port in my dash, but use that only for charging. The phone is paired via Bluetooth to my Highlander's radio for music playback, phone calls, etc. Playback isn't interrupted when this pop-up appears, so I'm guessing it's related to the Lightning cable and not Bluetooth, but I've been using the same cable for years and never had the problem until iOS 10.

Been having issues with carplay since upgrading to iOS 10. It's charging the phone but it won't connect to Carplay, the dialog box on the car is telling me it's connecting before it suddenly gives a disconnection message.

To add to the confusion when I connected another phone it briefly worked, but when I reconnected the phone I encountered the same issues as on the other phone.

Really annoying as I find the Carplay functionality useful. Fix this Apple!

When I installed ios10 on my iPhone 5,

* I cannot use Maps and Car radio parallel anymore

* Siri is not answering, doesnt work

* I cannot search destinations

My car is a Hyundai Tucson.

I went back to 9.3.5 with a lot of problems, I couldnt play back the Backup, because the backup was done with ios10. Everything lost, start from scratch. I thought Apple has a good backup system...

I dont know, is it a OS problem or Hyundai hat to upgrade....
