iPhone 7 - Keeps Freezing!!!

I have just taken on the iPhone 7. I have noticed a couple of issues:

1) Freezing: When I open, contacts or whats app... it just stays on that screen. The lock button, or home button does not work. This will last for about 1.5 minutes!!!! Then the phone will be ok, but may take a few pictures ... this is maybe me pressing the lock and home button together

2) Camera - a lot of the times when I open the camera, I get just a black screen where the camera is, then after a couple of seconds my camera comes on....

Has any one else had these issues, and any help with it? I presume its an ios issue rather than a phone issue?

Yes this is exactly the same issue I am having, I missed my apple support call last night but will be calling them today.. I'm really surprised by Apple having been an iPhone user since their first generation phones that they aren't admitting to the issues that have been widely reported not only here but also on the AV forums and many other places of the same issues!

It's a little disappointing that they can just accept it and say we are aware of some issue but please give us time to fix them, when I spoke to support they would not admit to the issues but suggested a few things to get a fix.. I will report back once I have spoke to support today!

Unfortunately, buying an iPhone 6 will not fix the issue. This is the simple truth guys, they added the new and improved A10 fusion chip into the iPhone 7, then they've updated to iOS 10 to support it... the trouble is they haven't fully integrated the older version to the new... but they are working hard at it. Yes my iPhone 7 has some seriously annoying issues such as FaceTime having the messaging bar in the way of my screen, apps freezing or just closing down on me etc... but if I were to use the iPhone 6 it will have just as many problems because it's ultimately the iOS version that's the issue, not the device. There are always going to be bugs and glitches to fix in the code and it does takes a lot of time to 'read' thousands if not millions of lines of code... let alone fixing it.

This will probably always happen when new tech is brought into play.

Please also remember that the internet all I've Australia will also be causing some issues with apps freezing (if they need the internet net to run) as NBN is working hard at replacing the copper cables with the fibre optic... there are internet outages all over the country and will continue to be until next year due to the conversion. This is not your phones fault nor is it apple's. I know this because I work as a provisioning tech in a telecommunications provider/carrier.

Peace!

iphone 7 what a load of s***t it's been constantly freezing nearly every time I try to make a call, normally I would double click the home button and close all open apps and this would clear the problem, recently upgraded to the latest issue hoping this would resolve the issue but no it's made it worse, I've had to hard reset the phone holding the volume down and home button because it froze again it's been shutting down now for over half an hour and still counting.

Apple sort this out because I'm genuinely thinking about getting my money back.

This is great to have happen on Christmas Day 🙂 ! Im really glad I got zero pictures of my family on Christmas because my phone was frozen for almost 3 hours 😁 ....

Holding down THREE buttons - the home, sleep, and volume down button - finally reset my phone - HALLELUJAH! Though I am sure this will be happening again in the near future...

I have had the phone for about a week and this issue just happened today - twice. Seemed to happen when accessing the Camera app from the lock screen both times. Screen was frozen and black. When I uheld the home button, Siri would vocalize, but nothing else was responsive and I couldn't even reset the phone until I saw on this thread that holding the THREE buttons down (versus just the TWO buttons that I knew as the method to perform a hard reset).

Needless to say, Apple, figure this garbage out

I thought the 10.2 update has fixed the issue...for a couple of days yes I was happy that the "FREEZE" issue didnt show up, after that the same.. the phone is getting frozen at least 3 times a day and it needs a hard reboot to take back to the normal working condition.. I tried factory reset for a couple of time; still no hope...

Apple support team has asked to give the phone to repair... I think thats the only option left.
