iPhone 7 Plus keeps freezing

Good morning -


I have a question about my iPhone 7 Plus. It seem that it keeps freezing in the middle of a task. It happens in native (iMessage, Phone) and downloaded apps ( facebook, pinterest). I either have to shut the apps down, or reboot my phone all together.


Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what did you do to fix it? Or is there any insight as to why this is happening on my 3 day old iPhone 7Plus?

Are you restoring the phone from a back up? Or back to factory state. If you've only tried restoring it to a back up, the next step would be to try restoring it to factory state then testing it for several days.

UPDATE: I spoke with Apple Support again after they sent me a new iPhone 7 and the same problem arose with freezing. It is a software issue and engineering is working on it. The work-around they gave me was to turn off the Auto Correction and the Check Spelling. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard and toggle those two off. I don't know if that is a temporary fix while engineering fixes the software issue but at least it is something to try. So far it is working for me.

Hi I have had the 7 plus now for about 2 months. This problem seems to persist I have been waiting for an iOS update that fixes it. Unfortunately this is only getting worse . The hangs are random and in an entire range of apps. This morning the phone refused to play/ stream any video content either from YouTube or from my photos app. I have to continually reset this thing. And it's becoming extremely annoying. I have already now twice factory reset the phone so the entire concept of upgrading from backup is lost ... and am afraid for $1100 purchase this is getting close to remorseful which is sad! I have been on on apple for years and all my devices have been a pleasure from day 1. The 7 plus is proving otherwise ... please help. Am tempted to just return it!

I'm also having the same problem. Seems to be just my phone that is freezing up. Started immediately on my new 7plus so I went back to the carrier I got it from within 5 days, they exchanged it for a brand new one. Now less than a week later this one is doing the exact same thing :( I was so excited to get back to an iPhone by now, not so much. Also my blue tooth connection keeps disconnecting and reconnecting in the middle of a call. Thought maybe it was something with my car but it did the same thing in my husbands truck today. Feeling very frustrated over this.
