Flickering on Netflix after Sierra update

@Rachael122 I had the exact same feeling. I've never owned a MBP and was worried as well, but seems like we have lots of cases. I'm sure there will be a solution soon.

@Vuducha @plantbased That's great news. Have you updated any software recently? Unfortunately I'm in a vacation trip and ai can only test this next Thursday, but it's great that we have two apparent solution cases.

I just tested it on Safari too. Can confirm, no more flickering for now.

No software updates.

My full-screen Netflix (using Safari) is still doing the weird swiping movement. I have an appointment at the Apple store tomorrow, will let you guys know what they say.

It looks like your screen sometimes shakes when watching videos in Netflix. We can offer some troubleshooting steps that may help now or in the future.

Does this happen with other movies? You can test by downloading a movie trailer or past purchase from the iTunes Store to see if that plays normally in full screen. See Download your past purchases.

If you see the same behavior with other video content, you may want to try again in a new user account on your Mac. This can help rule out software conflicts or other issues: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

If this is isolated to Netflix, you can find some specific information that may help in The Netflix player is off-center when I try to watch.

I would not say that it's fixed. But that it's seems to happen less. In two episodes of 40 minutes, the rewind problem only happen twice.

But the luminosity flickering with the subtitle is still there.

I have exact same problem with MacBook 12. It appeared right after Sierra Update.

Flickering on Mozilla, Firefox and Safari.

I compared iTunes movies and series in full screen, with no problems.

Also trailers with same browser, with no problem.

Somehow refresh rate or buffering with Netflix is not in synch with Sierra?

I am also having this issue on a 2014 13' Macbook Air after updating to Sierra

I managed to get rid of flickering, by changing display settings to Scaled: Looks like 1152 x 720.

I tried also higher setting than default, and flickering increases.

I can confirm the flicker still happens even after macOS Sierra Update 10.12.1.

Hi, this also happens to me. Only when Netflix is fullscreen. If I don't activate fullscreen, the issue doesn't happen.

Also early 2015 MBP.

As far as I can tell the new update fixed problem for me from Safari, still doing it in Chrome. I'll keep watching stuff to confirm if it's really fixed.
