Here are my results. They are pretty bad. Besides waiting for APPLE to finally produce a new MacBook pro so I can upgrade. What else can I do. I can't stand the lock ups I am dealing with now. I already removed the adware. HELP

Hi Guys!

I also have this problem... I have a MacBook Pro too, mid 2012. 2,5 GHz Inter Core i5, 4GB RAM.

After updating to Sierra, my computer just became as slow as a turtle... I have tried several quick fixes on it, reeboting and so on but nothing seems to work. This is by far the WORST UPDATE EVER. How can you release an update like this without even testing it among users first... I depend on my computer to work and now I'm screwed.... My 2011 Microsoft Office package won't work either so I am really desperate at this point....

I did the Etrecheck so if anybody could tell me what to delete or change, I would truly appreciate it!!!

Thanks!

According to the diagnostics reports you've run CleanMyMac3 on your hard drive.

Oct 5, 2016, 08:35:46 PM /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/CleanMyMac 3_2016-10-05-203546_[redacted].hang

/Volumes/*/CleanMyMac 3.app/Contents/MacOS/CleanMyMac 3

That's a sure recipe for disaster. I didn't see any CCM3 files in the report so the damage seems to have already been done. I'd boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall the system.

Start your own discussion/ask you own question.

Include the results from running EtreCheck. Past the results from EtreCheck use the Copy to Clipboard feature in EtreCheck and then paste that in your new discussion

Illaas, thank you for the suggestion. I ran the above recommendation and it says performance is below average. How do I read & interpet results output to make the appropriate changes? Can you help me?

I am not sure if the OP had his or her problem solved but if it still hasn't, here's my two cents. Sierra being sluggish could be due to a number of things. I found a post that detailed a number of Sierra slow specific fixes. I think your best bet would be to run through each of the steps to see if any of them will fix your Sierra problems. That post has over 3,000 words and will take about an hour to implement all the steps. But then again, if it can fix your Mac's speed issues, nothing like it.

Hope this helps. 🙂
