iPhone 7 screen scratches?

I had a hairline scratch on the same place as you, 1/5-1/6 down from the top part 3 weeks in. I have No idea how I got it! I have had an iPhone 4 the last 5 years or so - no worries.

I called the support, 1 week after the possibility to return it, but they took it back after hearing my story. It shouldn't scratch like that were their answer. They thought it was like that from the factory,..

My replacement just arrived today, nice service on Apples part though I must say - But I'm insecure of what this phone actually can take. Does it need a protection screen although you only wipe it with cotton? What are your thoughts about it - bad batch or overall sensitive?

I think it was a bad batch. I had no idea how it got there myself. Especially me having it in a separate pocket by itself at all times. I ended up purchasing the AppleCare service. I'm personally not a fan of protective screens. In this day in age, screens should be able to take the abuse of the user. I'm giving this screen a go without the protector. Since yours is from a different shipping date, I'd give Apple a chance.

We can only hope so. I've had mine in a protective wool-wallet all the time as well, and I agree - the screen itself should be strong enough in 2016. If you need to buy a protective screen for normal usage, it shouldn't be sold!

Arrange for Apple to call me back and hope to hear better answer then bring down for replacement unless it's on the spot...I can't live without my phone lol

SG Apple called me back...told me to get a screen protector and said this is cosmetic and not covered under warranty...disappointed with the quality and answer I got...I spend $1.3K to get and use less then a week and found this issue yet was told to put a protector over it...will it heal the hairline scratch I got on the screen ? It definately doesn't heal the crack in my heart

If your refund laws are anything like ours in Sweden, you should at least have 2 weeks to be able to try it out and then return it. Full refund/exchange if you're not pleased/or if you regret your purchase. Since it's just "cosmetic", they should be able to take it back, right?

You're not getting what I'm saying. Buyers remorse/ right to withdraw should then be eligible still. I'm not talking about warranty. Since it's just cosmetic/no problem in apples eyes, you should be able to just return it, as in buyers remorse - Since they don't have any issues with it. If your laws are anything alike the ones we have in Sweden and EU,..

Also, if you've bought it online, you have the right to inspect the product and return it in 14 days if it not up to standard/ broken/ something wrong.

Talk to the consumer carries in your country/ask Apple the question directly. On the webpage as well, if you have ordered it online, you can return it directly. Just click "Return" on your order.

Bought a spigen tough armor and a tempered glass screen protector to "protect" my phone from unidentified scratches...thanks Apple I spent an extra $49.90 SGD on TOP of the cost price for iphone 7 plus 128gb...

Just been in to apple regarding my phone. My phone has been in a suede flip case since day 1 yet has multiple scratches on the screen. When I asked Apple about this they said it's the first they've heard of it and there's nothing they can do. Poor customer support really for a £700 device.

I also have some light scratches on the screen don't know how they came, also i had a case with this phone where there was some dust particles inside the cameras "class" and i had to take the phone to the service where they ended up to change whole camera. Also very disapoinetd to this iphone 7, my previous one was iphone 4 and i never used any screen protector on it, it also has some light scratches on the screen, but they never appeared so fast.
