iPhone 7 screen scratches?

Has any one come across having very light scratches on the screen? I just got my phone 3 days ago and it has several light scratches.. i have no idea how.. I was very careful with it. Im surprise how sensitive this screen is.. idk if maybe its a defect on the coating of the screen. very disappointed in it.

Same with me my iPhone 7 plus. I never had this issue when I was using iphone 3,4,5 and 6 Plus (not 6s Plus)

I was always proud to tell others that I don't need screen protector. Now all the pride gone!! I have to go shooping for screen protector now.

I think since they introduced the pressure sensor to the screen, they were unable to use the same material as before.

Win some and you loose some. Sad :(

I owned a 6S for a little over a year, no case, no screen protector, and no regard for scratches and it looked almost brand new after that time. Of course, 7 launch, I wanted the upgrade, waited 2 months for a precious black 7Plus. Cutting to the chase, I treated this thing like a new born baby, until I could get get my hands on a case, and low and behold, 2 corners show massive abrasion and a plethora of hair line scratches on the screen glass. I don't need anyone to tell me, and I dont need excuses from Apple, this glass is inferior to several generations previous models, its basically garbage, plain and simple. This release was far from epic, I chalked it up to robust design improvements, but as it turns out, they just pulled a fast one, and took an opportunity to sell us an inferior product at a lower cost of mfg. I was almost over the fact that my 6S had a junk battery for the last 3 months, totally useless. Welp, this is how we get got

I called apple tech support and explained the situation with the hair scratch on my iPhone 7 screens and mentioned that many other people have the same issue including my colleagues who just got their phone only 1 week ago. This obviously never happen this easy with the iPhone 6 I had. The iPhone tech support suggest I take to the local apple store and get it replace for free, therefore they booked an appointment for me to go the next day. I arrived at the apple store and the stuff told me that this is not a screen coding defect, it is just normal wear and tear cosmetic issue, not an apple responsibility, they suggest paying $99 to get it replace under my apple care, they also shamelessly suggest to buy a case and screen protector to prevent this scratch to spread in the future. Everything apple is doing now is to make the shareholder happy and make tones of cash and careless about the loyal apple customers like us by telling us the opposite of apple’s quality promise. Those of you who want their screen replaced for free should start spread this issue everywhere on social media, get apple enough attention to set this a known issue and free replace program.

I previously owned Iphone 3,4,5 and 6+ and never a single scratch after about 2 years of usage. One month with Iphone 7 and the screen is covered with tiny scratches. It is obvious the quality of the new screen is inferior. The main reason i´ve been buying iphones and not android phones is the superior quality, now it´s the other way around. This is how you lose customers Apple.

I've owned almost every iPhone since the first one and have never had this issue, until now. I've had my iPhone 7 Plus JB 256GB for 14 days and already have a large hairline scratch across the face of the screen. Since I've owned iPhones forever, I know how to take care of the screen.

I will contact Apple soon mentioning this is a common issue. I do have AppleCare+ so I think a replacement is only $29. Hopefully I can pull the SIM and use my old iPhone 6+ while it is out for repair.

I know many of you don't like them, but I've heard that a glass screen protector can hide existing scratches once applied.

I also wonder if a screen repair will impact the level of water resistance since they have to seal the screen to the base.
