Notes app disappeared completely!

Did not work for me.

My notes app disappeared as well. I downloaded a third-party software Dr. Fone data recovery which was supposed to help me find all my missing notes. I Found notes that I had deleted in my notes app a couple years ago but none of the current ones that disappeared were there. They are gone !

I had the same thing happen to me a couple weeks back and what helped me was that I had an encrypted backup of my iPhone on my iTunes (unfortunately for me it was from a few months back) but I restored my phone with that backup and I got my most precious notes recovered.

I had it happen this weekend. I woke up and my notes app was gone with all my notes. What I've learned is that unless you had them on iCloud or backed up in some other fashion, those notes are gone forever. I went through two levels of Apple tech support and they had no answer for how the app could disappear as if it never existed on my iPhone 6. I'm a huge fan of Apple and own many of their products so it was a bit disappointing. You are right - it shouldn't be that easy for an app that comes standard with every Apple product to just disappear.

Same here. If I go to the App Store, and find the Notes app, it allows me to "Open" the app but it will not download to my phone. My notes are still there.

This has now happened to my Photos app as well. Is Apple hoping no wecwill upgrade to new phones?

Sorry, reloading "Notes" from app Store, then hitting iCloud icon does not reload any of my many folders/files. should I just restore all from iCloud backup?. It is unknown how many hours passed until I noticed that the "Notes app" was missing, AND the last iCloud backup was at 5:30pm last evening...perhaps it backed up WITHOUT the notes at all. Need suggestion. MUST have notes back. Thanks

Unless you had your notes backed up to iCloud, they are gone permanently. I only had my notes on my phone and had never backed up my phone to my Mac or iCloud. When my notes app disappeared one morning, I went to the App Store to reload it. The app reloaded as if it had never been on my phone and the notes did NOT repopulate.

I can the Notes app back how do I retrieve all past Nora in the Notes app?

Once I re-download the app, how do I retrieve the notes that were on it before?

This article tells you about this: Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device with iOS 10. To get your Notes app back, go to the App Store and search for the app. Tap to restore the app.

Can someone please help? I need my notes back!!!! I have 10 years of ******* notes.

This should be fixed IMMEDIATELY too.. it should NOT be so easy to delete all of your notes!!

Thank you... my concern is this... If I try to restore from a backup will it just delete my notes app because its not on my computer or not? Is there a way to only restore my notes from the backup?
