Wifi keeps dropping in Windows 10 (BootCamp) on new tbMBP 15"

Keeps dropping and reconnecting. Pretty sure it's not the wifi because on MacOS and my iPhone, both have stable connections. It's probably a driver issue, anyone know a fix?

Yep I agree, should make no difference. When I speak to apple customer support, all they say is that the windows support is up to the manufacturer and MS, as the last resort, which I find very difficult to digest, considering I paid truckloads for this machine, which according to their own website says, it can run windows as well! I see this problem on many forums, with absolutely no concrete resolution, which according to me, can only be a new set of drivers as I look at it.

I haven't seen the issue return. It's been about a week and I'm getting fast downloads (41.03 mbps on a 40mbps connection). I downloaded a 1 GB file at about 4.5 MB/s without any issues. So that passes my test for stability and speed on a big download. When I was having problems, it was immediately apparent and every test failed.

I will say that I haven't used Windows for more than 10 minutes at a time yet, so if this is something you're seeing after "x" hours, that's not something I can duplicate yet.

Honestly, if I can perform multiple speed tests and download several big files without issue, any problem that may still exist is so intermittent it doesn't bother me. When I had the WiFi problem is was immediately and painfully obvious. These issues are notoriously difficult to troubleshoot; it could just as easily be your router as the differentiating factor. You may have a different core problem than I was seeing.

.64 has been problematic from Day 1. .68 is only being offered via Apple Software Update, not BC6 drivers, so anyone who does a standard BC/Windows installation will get .64. The assumption is after the initial install, within a few minutes, the user will run Apple Software Update, so there is no .68 in the BC6 drivers package.

The problem with various users seeing issues, even on .68, are related to individual networks and configurations and specific interaction between Windows in the network. The OS X side works flawlessly in the same environment.

For example, some users can connect to 802.11ac, but 802.11n is problematic.

LonerT,

It still must be driver bug related as I can run an external generic micro USB nic without issue straight after having issues with built-in.

Same session, no changes to Windows.

= driver bug

requires fix from manufacturer of chipset

Is there a driver that is installed for this generic USB WiFi NIC? The chipset is a 'custom' Apple/Broadcom configuration. The .64 to .68 update is in fact a response to issues. It may not be valid for many environments, but may work for some (like jasondunn ). It can also be a memory leak, it can be related to analysing or collecting long-term statistics for the adapter (say a 32-bit counter, instead of a 64-bit counter). Was a bug-report created for this specific issue? Did Apple contact any of the bug-reporters for any data/diagnostics?
