MacBook Pro 2016 touch bar randomly crashes

Hi,

I have recently been experiencing random crashes on my new MacBook Pro 13-inch 2016 touch bar.

Crash occurs randomly but usually it seems whilst watching a movie, downloading or transferring large files to external hard drives (usually at the same time).

Has this happened to someone else? Would appreciate some insight on this.

Error I am getting is this:

Same thing happening to me, brand new 15" MBP. I have an appointment at the Genius Bar later this week but after reading the entire thread above, I think I'll cancel it as it doesn't seem they'll do anything. System was working fine out of the box but when I updated to the latest OS I started having the system crash while sleeping; probably about 25% of the time.

to my surprise, i just tried to wake up my 2016 15" MBP (Radeon 455 version) and experienced this crash.

i left my MBP connected in clamshell by adapter to my HP 1080p monitor by HDMI. when i tried to wake it up by keyboard this morning, it wouldn't respond. so i proceeded to open the laptop and disconnect it from the adapter and received that error after a reboot. very irritating.

I got the same error.

Are there any fix or can I return it to supplier as defect ?

I'm also still having this issue on 10.13.2. At this point it has been "fixed" several times. I'm now convinced this is an unfixable hardware error. This is a malaise year for Apple QC. It's exactly as people feared -- Jobs left then everyone started to slack off. I've also got inconsistent screen backlighting (NEVER occurred on ANY mac in the past) and random colored spots that appear in one of the screen corners, only to completely disappear at a later time for reasons unknown.

My new 2017 Macbook doesn't have this problem.

I have a very similar problem:

I have a MBP 15" 2016 with 10.12.2 connected to the LG 5K, I will leave the laptop connected to the 5K monitor during the night in sleep mode, in the morning without turning on the laptop I will just disconnect it from the 5K monitor and take it to the office, then in the office I will plug it to the standard Apple AC adapter, I do not have an external monitor at the office, open the lid (resume from sleep) to find out is has crashed or had a panic error, I've been able to reproduce the problem two days in row now. Check the following threads for more details:

MacBook Pro 15" (2016) Crashing while connecting/disconnecting the LG 5K Monitor

I just installed 10.12.3 Beta 4 on a external drive to test if the new Beta resolves the problem. Without the monitor I haven't had a single crash or panic, everything started when I got the 5K monitor over the weekend.
