MacBook Pro 2016 touch bar randomly crashes

Hi,

I have recently been experiencing random crashes on my new MacBook Pro 13-inch 2016 touch bar.

Crash occurs randomly but usually it seems whilst watching a movie, downloading or transferring large files to external hard drives (usually at the same time).

Has this happened to someone else? Would appreciate some insight on this.

Error I am getting is this:

Sat Nov 26 13:34:22 2016

*** MCA Error Report ***

CPU Machine Check Architecture Error Dump (CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6287U CPU @ 3.10GHz

Thanks!

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 4 TBT3), macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

I am having this issue also. New 13" Touchbar MBPro 16RAM, 1TB SSD crashes every time during a Time Machine backup. Also happens during Carbon Copy cloner backups. Always seems to happen after around 350GB of data has backed up (my backup set is 700GB). Will try to transfer large number of files to external hard drive to see if happens then also. Very frustrating!

Here's my latest error report...same as yours:

Same here and I tried to backup with the 2TB usb-c Porsche via Time Machine, however if I were to backup via my old 1TB Porsche non-usb c external, everything works fine despite taking a bit longer to finish the progress. Some are saying it's software issue with the high speed I/O, hopefully this can be resolved in a patch asap.

I am getting the same error message on my new 2016mac book pro 15" with touch bar. I have been experiencing the issue whenever I attempt to export a sequence out of premiere pro. The mac book will begin the export and then freeze. The computer screen will do something generally go to a distorted red color and then completely freeze. Then the computer will shut down. When it restarts the error message you indicated is what pops up.

I definitely have this same problem too on my replacement 2016 15" MBP touch bar... I am performing time machine backups over WiFi. However, this error occurred once when I was not at home nor was I transferring data via USB or the network. The other time this error has occurred was over night. I am assuming time machine could have been running a back-up then.

My first MBP had battery life issues with the battery discharging in about 3 hours sometimes while doing the same things that led the battery to last 6-7 hours in other cases.

I don't know what's up with my luck, but I'm about to give up on the new MBP... For $3000, you'd think that they'd have worked out these reproducible bugs before shipping. So many users have reported these battery issues and the crashes during the time machine backups that it must not be a rare occurrence. Thankfully I have until January 8 to decide.
