Hi I have a iPhone 7plus and if I call someone they can hear me but I can't hear them and this issue just started
I found a solution for my iPhone 7. The OtterBox I was using on my iPhone 6 was blocking the rear microphone, a small black dot next to the camera, in the top left corner. It doesn't appear to be covering it, but it appears to be just enough to block it. I filed the OtterBox down just a bit in that area and it works just fine.
I have done a clean install of iOS 11. No difference
I am in the same boat but I had my phone replaced twice now.
I know your frustrations. It looks like this is keading to a class action lawsuit if Apple doesn't stand behind it's products and customers. Even my son's new iPhone 7S is doing this.
I have the iPhone 7 and having the same problem I can here every one else but they can’t hear me said it’s like a crisp bag getting squ
A lot of people forget to turn their phone off after changing it to cellular only and assume it didn’t work.
Same problem here. iPhone 7plus, regular mic people can’t hear me almost at all. Speaker phone works fine. Same with or without case. No idea how to fix
What does this mean?

I have the same issue, brand new phone. Please apple provide a resolution. There is clearly something defective with the phone. This is a widespread issue.
You are not addressing Apple here, so asking them to provide a resolution is falling on deaf ears. You need to contact Apple Support for assistance. If the phone is less than 14 days old and purchased at an Apple Store, you can return it for a full refund. If after that point, you can see about warranty work. If you purchased it at another location, the return policy is dependent on the location.

Apple really does need to chime in here and offer up what they know about this wide spread issue.
Apple? Someone?
Did you read any of this thread at all? If so, you would have seen that Apple does not participate here,, so the are not going to "chime in here", or "offer up" anything.
If you wish to speak to Apple so you can hear them say something about the issue, then contact Apple Support. You get 90 days of free telephone service with the purchase of the phone.
Same Issue others can't hear my voice on my iphone7 plus ... phone replaced .. still the same issue I am feeling very sad about the phone I have shout when I am on call .. when are they going fix the problem ... spending lot of money and no quality .. very sad
I have this problem today, and I'm on AT&T this is clearly an iPhone 7 issue which Apple darn well better step up to the plate and offer a solution.Im heading to my local AT&T store today as soon as my iPhone is done backing up.
Have been a loyal Apple/ATT customer since 2009. The iPhone 7s plus is the worst cellphone experience I have had to date. People cannot hear me, phone runs hot on the charger. I do not have a local Apple store in my area, nearest being 90 miles away. Not good Apple.
I have the same issue. I have an Iphone7plus and the people on the other end say it's like I go away for awhile. They have to ask me several times to repeat myself. Is this an problem with my network or phone?
That support does nothing to resolve the issue. I have even taken my phone to the Apple store. They have fixed it only for the same issue to happen again the next day. This is ridiculous. Something that needs to be addressed.
