Messages #images says "Could not load results."

Since the upgrade to iOS 10.2, #images shows the message "Could not load results." everytime I attempt to use it. Up to the point where I upgraded, I was able to see and use the images and gifs here. I live in the U.S., and everything is turned on in the Appstore to allow this. What's missing?

Hi blaframb,

I understand that since updating your iPhone, you've been unable to use the #images in the iMessage app. I know it's nice to be able to share gifs with friends, so I'm happy to help.

Try turning off #images and then restarting your iPhone before turning it on again:

Use iMessage apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Manually add or remove apps that you download

If you turn on Automatically Add Apps in the Manage tab, your iMessage apps automatically go to your app drawer when you download them. If you turn off Automatically Add Apps, you can manually add apps to your app drawer. You can also manually remove them. Here’s how:

  1. Open the app drawer and tap User uploaded file.
  2. Tap the Manage tab.
  3. Turn on the app to add it to your app drawer. Turn it off to remove it.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Jay I tried your suggestion changing to US rebooting iPhone then reverting back to the UK but sadly it didn't work.

I seem to have another issue every time I try to tap the helpful box (which I want to do!!) it gets me to sign in then once signed it I cannot highlight the helpful box! Nothing happens ! But thank you for your help!

Btw when I try to install Giphy why does it say "buy"??

Both me & my wife have iPhone 6s here in Canada.

We are both properly updated to iOS 10.3.2

The search window in #images stopped working (nothing would come up in searches at all, just blank)

So we proceeded to change our 'Language & Region' setting to United States & it started working again.

Apple, please fix this bug.

As I'm not sure if by changing our 'Language & Region' setting to United States will run us afoul of any other parameters while we're on our Canadian cellphone carrier.

I hope not.

The Short Message Service that allows gifs to be uploaded and sent through the iPhone's native messages app has stopped working on my iPhone 7. When I try to select any gifs to include in a message I get "Could not find any suggestions" and then it provides two hyperlinked suggestions. So far "Food", "Sorry" and "iPhone" have been the only suggestions, which lead to "could not find any suggestions" error messages.f course this is not

Of course this is not a malicious hack being perpetrated by somebody intent on upsetting me or causing me to feel overtly anxious, it is just highly coincidental.

I am not sure if anyone ever figured this out but I got mine to work by going to Settings, General, Keyboard, then I clicked on Keyboards which then brought up English and Emoji. I selected Edit in the top right corner and hit the red delete button beside Emoji. Then I went back in to Add New Keyboard and scrolled down to Emoji and clicked on it. After I did all this I turned my phone off and back on (not sure if it was needed). I went into my messages and was able to use the GIFs

I’ve found the solution myself.

It says “the connection appears to be offline” when I searched for a GIFs image.

So what I did was, I figured to turn on any possible apps data that I turned off. And I found “HashtagImage”

So, go to Settings > Mobile Data > Turn on “Hashtag Image”.

Happy to send GIFs without WiFi!

Problem solved 😊
