Messages #images says "Could not load results."

Me too & hubby! Rang Apple & my network provider & no joy! Was working ok last Thursday! Hubby just text 2 of his friends #images aren't working in iMessage too for them!

Hi Jay, Thanks, that does work in that I can see the images but then all my apps such as diary etc are wrong. Reverted back to UK and will wait for Apple to sort the issue out. Thanks though, how long did it take to find that out!!

And yes they are saying it fully went down last night, so are aware but by the time a fix is issued I'm guessing people will have fallen in love with Giphy. I prefer it, the content is plentiful and richer...

The only thing is I don't think Gifphy is free? When I try to download it it's asks me to buy. I don't need gifphy that much to buy it I'll wait for the fix & just use what's app in the meantime!

I am unable to change my location in the iTunes store - I can't change the location while I have an iTunes balance. 😟

I also don't really want to download a third-party app such as giphy, even though the #images in iMessage does get some of its resources from giphy.

I guess I'll wait until Apple gives us a fix for it.

It appears for those of us not in the US that changing the region to US resolves the issue. Unsure why it's not working for you, unless you don't have US set as the region. May be check that if you haven't already done so.

I'd tried just about everything I could think of yesterday to resolve this on my iPhone here in Australia even changing the region setting to NZ or UK. Came across this thread this morning and set it to US and #image began working again. Now reset it back to Aus because too much other stuff gets upset. What's strange is that a colleague with an iPhone 6s here in Australia is not experiencing the problem, yet my wife (in NZ) and I (in Australia) are.

You are correct. I now changed Region from Canada to USA and Now have full search capability within #images.

I already had an open ticket wit Apple and have advised them. Canada is supposed to have full access to this Messenger #image app.

What else did it upset? I can't see anything in my use that has changed?

Changing region to USA worked on mine in Australia and my wifes who is in China at present!

I is not only my iPhone but also two iPads that have the issue, I didn't region change them yet.

I am glad many people have seen my temporary fix. And have used it.

You are all welcome, lets just hope that the engineers have picked up the tickets.

Giphy is FREE, and works pretty much the same, when downloading free items from the app store remember that it may sometimes ask for your  id and password, its security... Then when #images is working just delete.

Jay I tried your suggestion changing to US rebooting iPhone then reverting back to the UK but sadly it didn't work.

I seem to have another issue every time I try to tap the helpful box (which I want to do!!) it gets me to sign in then once signed it I cannot highlight the helpful box! Nothing happens ! But thank you for your help!

Btw when I try to install Giphy why does it say "buy"??

Both me & my wife have iPhone 6s here in Canada.

We are both properly updated to iOS 10.3.2

The search window in #images stopped working (nothing would come up in searches at all, just blank)

So we proceeded to change our 'Language & Region' setting to United States & it started working again.

Apple, please fix this bug.

As I'm not sure if by changing our 'Language & Region' setting to United States will run us afoul of any other parameters while we're on our Canadian cellphone carrier.

I hope not.

When i spoke to  yesterday i obviously explained i found this as a workaround, and they confirmed it will change some time settings, calendars and a few words will seem strange when typing.

So UK spell COLOUR - US spell COLOR, things like that.

Is it asking for you to verify your payment details? That is normal, but if the app is showing free and you get charged just contact iTunes store support for refund a nightmare i know but it happens to me when i haven't downloaded or purchased anything for a while?

I had the same issue where no search results were shown, and the fix for me was to go into Settings/Messages then turn off iMessage and then turn it back on.

I went back into iMessage and could then search and get results!

Hope this works for anyone else with this problem.

I live in NZ and had the same issue just recently. I read through these replies and changed my "Language" in my settings to English US and it now works. Maybe try changing this to other English language options to see if this will change it?
