Can't drag and drop safari images to desktop
Hi,
I just updated my version of safari 10.1 and now I suddenly can't drag and drop images to the desktop.
I just keep getting the error report message popup.
OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Hi,

Here is a clue...
I am on 27" iMac, late 2015, w/retina, El Capitan, Safari 10.1
Try this and maybe you can make some sense of it...
Were I an Apple engineer I would think I had a good lead here, can anyone shed some light?
Yes same for mine, all except this is only on an external monitor.
you could try to drag and drop the images from chrome or you could take a screenshot
No Time Machine will not replace system level apps. And if you mix and match folders you risk to break some important links that could result in a retire. Best wait for an Apple update.
Strangely it's only my iMac where I get this behaviour. My old MacBook pro is ok.
Same safari (Version 10.1 (11603.1.30.0.34)), same operating system (El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G1421)
I was thinking something like that... so it would be really sweet if apple fixed this soon... like in the following days or why not hours.
Already done this ... let's hope there is power in numbers 🙂
Hi. It was the last of the 17" MacBook Pro's late 2011...
I don't think that Macs with an external monitor have the problem.
Same problem, on a Mac Pro Mid 2010 (external monitor).
No problem on a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 (with or without external monitor).
Same issue on the iMac retina display, but it works fine on my Macbook Air and Macbook Pro (non-retina).
Have you tried control - click/Save Image to Desktop?
Already mentioned above... but would be nice to have the drag and drop working 🙂
Already did, when you said exactly the same earlier
I have the exact same issue.
Clearly there's a bug with 10.1 and apple needs to address it.
Is there a way to go back to 10.0.3 without re-installing OS?
I'm having the same issue. I've already tried to disable all the extensions and plugins but with no effect...
Exactly the same issue here. I can't find 10.0.3 anywhere. I wish I could re install the previous one.
