Home Button unresponsive after 10.3 Update

I found a "fix". In FlexiroamX SIM Application menu, under the "About" selection there is an option called X-kit notification. I switched that off and the issue went away. Only thing is you no longer get the indication on the dashboard which SIM card you are on.

I have read this whole thread and tried with airplane mode. It works, but anyway it's not the best solution; it doesn't make sense to have the phone with no signal all day.

Hopefully Apple staff fix this bug soon. It's quite annoying

Hi all. I did a sim swap at telkom today and it hasn't fixed the issue. It did however make it slightly better, the need to push the home button twice is less frequent somehow. Very odd. Extremely frustrating. Livid at the lack of apple support in ZA. Core needs to up their game and introduce genius bars for these kinds of issues to be examined and reported back to the US in a formal manner.

I have the issue of my phone shutting completely off!! It started after the newest update, battery fully charged. I actually thought my phone was fried because it would not turn back on, replaced the phone with the brand new one today, did the update and it instantly did the same thing!! I was in the middle of a text and the screen went black and I couldn't turn my phone back on. Let it sit for about 10 mins and it finally brought up the white screen with the apple, put my code in and the battery was still fully charged. It has to be this newest update!!!

I agree with you. I have my iPhone 7 for only 5 days when I downloaded iOS 10.3.1 my home button when I press to go back it doesn't go back and have to press it it again then only works. It's very intermittent problem with me, very annoying as it is a new phone. I took it to a store they did a Diagnostic test and came back nothing is wrong with my device and nothing wrong with my home button.

Even the assistive touch miss and needs another trial

Anyway I have tried something and it worked so far , I removed the SIM card cleaned it and returned it back again and since then the glitch disappeared !

Having the exact same issue on my iPhone 6 64gb, phone is out of warranty so can't return it but it started happening right after the 10.3 update.

My Touch ID works fine and the light tapping has no issues but if I want to exit what I'm busy doing it often takes 2 sort of longer pushes instead of 1 quick push. Very irritating as if the button needs the extra push to first wake up. If apple could please please please assist me on what the issue could be.

I have experienced this issue since 10.3 beta 1, even submitted 2 bug reports/feedback via the Feedback tool.

Can confirm that a different Telkom sim does not fix the issue.

A sim from a different carrier works as normal.

Apple needs to investigate this...

I did a Telkom sim swop still dosnt go back when I click once have to click the home button twice to go back. Happens very intermittently tho. Funny enough when I have it on aeroplane mode there is no problem. Weird! Ever since I did the software upgrade to IOS 10.3.1 it's been given problems the home button. Have to click it twice to go back.

Oh man, this is so frustrating. Has anybody tried engaging with a Telkom engineering friend or family? the std channels would also be a waste of time and hair... I have seen reports from other countries but very isolated compared to the known Telkom SIM suspect. Would to interesting to hear if anyone with Telkom SIMS do NOT experience this...

My wife uses an iPhone 7 on iOS 10.1.1 with a Telkom sim and has no problems. I'm using iPhone 7 upgraded my iOS 10.3.1 and having problems with the home button not working clicking once back have to double click to work. Problem is very intermittently.

I've already contacted apple thru apple feedback app (beta iOS) and Apple has already replied my feedback about this issue.

I have also updated my iPhone to the newest Beta, iOS 10.3.2 public Beta 3, and i think the issue is solved, but my Flexiroam simcard (the extra roaming simcard pasted on top of my home sim card) suddenly won't work. Is it just me, or other people that are also using public beta experience the same thing?

Admittedly, I updated OTA. I frankly don't have the time for another full, clean restore. I've done 3 this month already.

I'll submit a report through the Feedback app as well. I wonder how many people interacting on this post will make Apple take a look at this issue.

My next step if this issue isn't fixed in the final release of 10.3.2 is simply to switch to a carrier on which I know people don't experience this issue. Was getting tired of Telkom service in my area anyway.
