Home Button unresponsive after 10.3 Update

As a follow-up to the whole 'home button recalibration', as well: I've tried that before to no avail. It actually seemed to help for a few minutes but the issue comes back.

Also, I'm not so sure that is 'home button recalibration' specifically. I know it clears out system RAM, and I've heard you probably shouldn't do that often.

Yeah I suggest reporting through Feedback app. I did that ages ago when the initial public beta was released.

I'm also in the process of porting back to vodacom from Telkom. My port goes through tomorrow. Can't wait.

After using the new iOS version a bit longer, I can now say that the issue is gone.

All apps have closed 1st time, I will continue monitoring.

Only thing I've changed is enabling LTE, was on 3G previously.

Very interesting! I'm still on iOS 10.3.2 public beta 3, and I've enabled LTE and I've been trying to replicate the bug for the past 10-15 minutes or so... it seems to be gone now! I will keep you guys updated on whether it comes back or not.

Yep, all clear here on my side after a couple of hours use, Home button response back to normal.

Not sure if the phone downloaded new carrier settings after update. Mine is on TelkomSA 28.2.

Have you tried enabling LTE? The issue did admittedly happen a single time for me when unlocking my phone. An app was still open. It required two presses to close, but I've not had the issue again at all other than that. Been on 10.3.2 for the past couple hours now.

I have loaded ios 10.3.2 still same problem. Click home key to go back dosnt go back, have to click it twice to work. Very intermittent problem tho and very annoying. Thinking of get a Cell C prepaid sim to use. My wife uses a iPhone 7 with a telkom mobile sim no problems but has ios 10.1.1. Such a premium brand apple but there ios is not reliable. And Telkom mobile sim not very reliable too.

So… yeah. The issue is totally back for me. Was good for the most part yesterday but today it's back in full force. :(

Even on LTE with Telkom 28.2.

Again, my next step will be to switch carriers if this isn't fixed in the final release of 10.3.2.

For now I guess I just have to deal with it. :/

There was a software upgrade ios 10.3.2 beta 4 i downloaded and it's working 100%. Thank god lol. I sent them a Feedback saying my problem and looks like the software ios 10.3.2 beta 4 is working. Happy days.

I have also updated to 4. Carrier is now 28.2. It's been 30 minutes and not a single double press required :-) Looking very good, I perceive the general responsiveness of the phone noticeability faster as well...

iOS definitely seems more responsive and snappier too! I think we were supposed to see this performance improvement since 10.3, but for some reason didn't — until now. I'

m definitely happy so far.

Upgraded to public beta 4 about 2 hours ago... so far everything seems to be working normally again. Haven't had to double press once... Will monitor for the next few hours before giving feedback to Apple.

24 hours later and not a single double press of the home button needed.

The phone does feel smoother and faster overall.

Looks like they fixed it in beta 4, hope it stays fixed throughout the forthcoming betas and final release of 10.3.2.

I also have this problem. I have to hit the home button 10 or more times. Sometimes it just will not work until I hit the sleep button first. Tried removing SIM, Flight Mode, upgrading to 10.3.2 beta 4. Nothing has worked.

I write here to share my feedback! I've just installed fifth beta of iOS 10.3.2 and problems are completely gone! Finally!
My carrier changed to 28.2 and definitely this seemed to be the problem... I hope the stable version of iOS 10.3.2 comes soon. For now, try the 5th beta!
