Anyone able to open 4k 10-bit files from the Panasonic GH5? Final Cut, Quicktime, Premiere... none seem to support it. 4k 8-bit and other formats open fine. They're all H264 .MOV files. Panasonic didn't have an answer. Is it just not supported my Apple yet?

Sounds good - Could I check though - you mentioned earlier 10 bit is not supported in FCPX. Does optimising morph it to pro res 422 automatically if it is shot in 10bit 4k 422?

So after it optimises it runs ok to edit?
What do you output then when edit complete? original or pros-res?

FWIW - They open fine in VLC, for quick previewing!
You need to optimize the media.
Optimizing files from a shoot can take hours and more than triple the hard drive space required to house the files. We need a option to just view 10 bit files.
