It's the first time it happens to me, after updating to the latest IOS the phone started working wrong, the screen freezes, it turns off alone and it opens apps and chats without touching the screen. I think it's a problem of the update as many iphone 6 an iphone 6 plus are having the same issue. I tried almost everything but it didn't worked.
I'll be very grateful if you can solve it.

At least you can get your iPad to reboot. I hold the power button indefinitely and the device will not even restart! i am not sure what to even do! This *****!

Add a "Me too" - I have 2 iPhone 6s+ and both have the issue.
No joy for me, but thanks anyway.
Apple want me to wipe my phone, wait for the issue again then send them yet more diagnostic reports. Will get round to doing it but such a faff at times.

the screen freezing worsens today.. gonna do a master reset tonight.. if it doesn't solve the problem.. i think i will migrate to android
I did a full delete and reset on my phone and restore back up.. so far no screen freeze now, i will update if the problem comes back
full reset did not solve the screen freeze, only reduced.. it came back when i used many apps and typing. sigh..
Yes. My screen locking was so bad yesterday that I wiped my phone and then discovered iOS11 was available. I immediately updated. It cleared the issue for me. Good luck.

thank god I didn't go and change the screen... anyway I sold my iPhone 6 after this incident since it was my second iPhone 6 (the first one just died) and switched to Android. too bad
Try doing a backup and then doing a DFU reset.
I hope they don’t think that by making us all mad it will push us to buy more of their products. Sure, it will send us shopping but they won’t be on the list.
Apple has just release the update 11.0.3 that might fix the issue with non-genuine replacement displays.
I will try to update on my iphone 6 and keep you posted!
The problem still persists after updated to ios 11.0.3 on iphone 6.
