iPad Pro 10.5 screen randomly freezes - anyone else have this?

Yes, I had mine replaced under the Apple 1 year warranty for the identical problem. Unfortunately, the replacement has the same screen freezing issues as my original iPad Pro had.

I have this problem as well. Mine is ipad pro 10.5, brand new, 64GB. Its very intermittent. My mom iphone 6s plus have same issue after update to ios 11. so disappointed

iPad Pro 12.9 Gen2 512G with cellular, the same issue happens very often. Ever since October, non of the updates can fix it, not even 11.2.5.

I also have these issues with my iPad pro 12.9 first gen. Thats really painfull to use the screen keyboard and navigate with it

i have the 512 GB LTE version maybe its the model i cant tell. my ipadair battery is still giveing me like a 3 day battery life with atleast 9hrs of SOT. so i am beyond ****** when i see a 2-3 year old product being better than the current one.

Same issue with the pro 256 which is a few weeks old. I’ve tried all the reset options and even reviewed my apps.

It would seem there is no clear solution as even a replacement renders the same issue.

@AppleSupport - Can you provide a status update on your investigation into this and when we can expect some response on a possible resolution? I realise I say ‘possible resolution’ but what I really mean is it’s unaccetapble to pay an arm a leg and few toes for this device and have it behave in this way so please fix it ASAP.

I still have the iPad Air 2 and it’s working just fine.

I am having the same problem, I haven’t had my iPad but a few months. All of a sudden the screen will not come on. I can mash the button and hear siri but screen won’t turn on. Then I have to push home screen and off/on button, after a few tries it comes back on. I don’t like this.

I just bought my 10.5 512gb WiFi + Cellular 4 Days ago and this problem has rendered the iPad Pro 100% useless. $1300 and it’s DEAD. Apple what’s your response to this poor craftsmanship hardware and software related??? Steve Jobs would be LIVID!!! Apple Care not much help either. Worst purchase I’ve made since becoming an Apple Fan 14 years ago. 😢

Purchased the iPad Pro for gaming. Screen is randomly unresponsive rendering the iPad useless for this purpose. 12.9”, Model ML0N2LL/A, iOS 11.0.3, 128GB. Any replies or actions from Apple? This is my 4th iPad and have never experienced this issue before. Spent way too much money and expect much better performance and response from Apple. Please help!

Would you report back after you've done the reset and given your iPad a good workout? I've grown weary of doing all the things people have suggested here and elsewhere, and the things Applecare thought would work, all to no avail. I especially don't care do a reset that may end up adding more work even if it's mostly to redo my settings. Thanks.

i know..its a premium device and none of the features should be disabled.

But screen freezing is too much irritating and we are to help ourselves.

also our comments are removed if we show our frustation.

I've been a big fan of Apple products since 1999, spending tens of thousands on cool working products. I really want an iPad Pro 12.9" but since Steve Jobs passed they've gone downhill tremendously. It isn't just the new stuff either, my iPad 2 and 4 are both continuously crashing anymore. Apple doesnt monitor this forum and theyll never reply here because of it. Although I can't believe someone from Apple hasn't heard about the different complaints.

It appears they don't care anymore, and just want you to keep buying the hyped new product in their line.

i think I'm done spending another penny on anything Apple. It's going to be hard as I can't stand Microsoft or droid apps either. I guess maybe I'll dig out my old etch a sketch and see how creative I can be after not touching it for 40 years...lol I know it won't freeze up on me!

Provided feedback via that link a long time ago but will do so again. Have also complained to/through AppleCare while seeking a solution. Thanks for the reminder to keep communicating via official channels....not that it's done any good so far.
