My phone was logged into at 3:10 am and now my screen is locked saying to email unlock.device@gmx.com
obviously I know this isnt an apple thing and I'm not going to email them. HELP

How did you start a restore when there's a firmware password? (I'm on a MacBook Pro)
You need to take it to an Apple Store along with your receipt.
We called Apple and they took us through the steps on icloud.com
I had to have it restored back to factory =/
Can you explain these steps? We tried everything ( senior adviser apple support call) and we could not reset or unlock my imac... I was advised to take my imac to an apple store

Well at least for my iPad, I hooked it up to my computer, fired up iTunes and just followed instructions.

Excuse me, did your device still lock? And it's true that all your devices has been locked ?
No, you lost it when you decided not to backup your files.
My files are just fine and it took me 5 minutes to change the password and access again on my phone.
I simply do not believe that 'someone at Apple told you this was a genuine Apple address, Apple addresses come from Apple.com, any employee would have known that.
