ios 11 update phone freezing

I’ve not had an issue since updating to 11.1. But, as someone mentioned, there is absolutely no reliable way to trigger the behaviour. It appears to be completely random.

As for a permanent solution, I’ve not found anything. My phone has never been repaired, and there has never been an issue with it until 11.0.3 when they stared poking around with “screen fixes”

I’m hopeful they resolved the issue with 11.1 though it doesn’t explicitly mention anything about screen fixes.

I’ve inky had 11. 1 for a day and have not had this troublesome issue again. Yet. I remain hopeful that Apple will pay attention to its users and resolve the problem.

Aside from being massively frustrating, I think it’s potentially dangerous. Let’s say it happens when you need to dial 999 ...

Hear hear. The lucky few who have not experienced this. My husband has had no issues and as mentioned in previous reply threads, since it’s impossible to predict what triggers this, it’s impossible to stop doing whatever it is that causes it or talk to tech support about it.

I firmly believe whatever was changed in iOS 11.0.3 is the cause. I never had a day’s trouble with any of my iPhones up until then.

I have to restart my iPhone at least 3 times a day and I’m getting sick of it. Every day the volume buttons stop working. The phone freezes for several minutes. I’m going to Samsung if they don’t fix these ******** issues soon

My iPhone is freezing at least 3-4 times a day. EVERY SINGLE DAY, on opening apps to opening browser abs. Since I updated it to iOS 11. No word or update from Apple ever since.

Music app is also bugged on lock screen

I have not found a permanent fix for this. Unfortunately it’s a restart every single time. To the extent that I now fear for the life of my home button because it’s bound to wear out soon carrying on like this!

Unfortunately that’s not the issue for me. It appears to be completely random. Not isolated to a specific action or app.

I just did not think it’s worth my while sticking with Apple if this is just a thing now. Seems to me like that’s the attitude: it is what it is deal with it. Not ok.

It is stupid bro every time apple comes up with new iPhone and they come up with new software destroys the older version and we suffer. The only answer and solution to this is that buy new iPhone thats what they doing.

Unfortunately I am not made of money so buying a new phone every 6 months isn’t going to happen! I’d like to be outraged and say surely not and tell you that you’re wrong but I very much suspect that you’re exactly right!

If the phone was cheap fair enough but it’s **** expensive and ones you update your phone won’t allow you to downgrade this is rediculars.

This is not fair Apple do something about it and care for civilian who can’t afforded it.

Apple put your self in people’s position who can’t afford it and can’t upgrade iPhone every 1 year or 6 months

I have done all the nessacery updates and factory reset, yet still not working, does the same problems.

Apple please do something I don’t have money and I rely on my iPhone a lot please have some sense of humor and compassion

I will certainly do that. Unfortunately I can’t give any consistent details for what causes this rogue behaviour other than it was fine until 11.0.3, and now it’s not. Hopefully Apple will take all this feedback into consideration for the next update!

I doubt that Apple will consider those information and take it on board. Let’s be realistic here IOS 11 is build for iPhone 8 and X which is 10. To make it more clearer is that they wants us to buy the new iPhone that’s all what comes down too. Business is business

This is most trouble prone iOS update i’ve ever seen. Lock screen gets stuck. Phone went blank like it was dead and had to do a hard restart. App icons froze, restart fixed that but now icons app icons are sluggish and do not respond like they should.

This has happened to me three times as well, but even worse. My phone is nearly useless. I can't even turn it off and I have to let my phone die. This is a serious issue in case of an emergency, have y'all really not come up with a solution or am I going to have to go Android? Come on Apple...
