ios 11 update phone freezing

Hi, I updated to ios 11 on my 64GB iPhone 6s without any issues. But since doing so my phone has stopped working 3 times. The problem is that the phone freezes and I can't press any apps or open app switcher, it's just dead. I have to do a force restart to get back up running again.

Exact same issue... Wasn't immediate after update, just started a day or two ago. I've had to hard reset 3-4 times now. Several otherwise reliable apps open very slow or more often crash without opening

Good advice, unfortunately my iPhone 6Plus still freezes. Randomly enters values. Randomly launches apps. Refuses to allow me to enter my passcode when I reset. Will not allow me to shutdown my holding the screen toggle button. I get the slide screen, but the screen is frozen. IMO, this is definitely an Apple bug with older versions of its firmware on these devices.

I’ve now updated to the 11.03 patch, and it still freezes at least 5 times per day. Mine also started doing this really fun thing that doesn’t let me hear anything when on the phone. If I restart my phone, it works again. I’ve deleted apps. I’ve checked my storage settings. I restored it to the previous backup. Still an issue. This isn’t a small issue with three people. Lots of users have it. My sister’s phone freezes, but not as much as mine. So Apple, PLEASE look into this.

Yes. Apple is seriously dropping the ball here. My phone is for all intents and purposes unusable. The underlying phone works so I’m able to answer calls through my iPad and watch... They have to know that this is happening and they need to get to the bottom of this and fix it. This is just **** poor customer service. I took my 6 Plus phone to the Apple Store and was flippantly informed that I had an three year old phone (duh) - to which I replied that Apple told me that this update was compatible with my iPhone so this should not matter. I skipped the 7 because I knew that the 10th Anniversary edition was coming out. It seems that this is happening to 7s as well. I don’t want to be forced into an 8 because I can’t wait for the X. They need to fix this tout de suite.

My 5s has been doing this as well since I updated. There has also been times when I'll dial out and it appears the call is going through, but I don't hear it ringing nor can I hear anything or others hear me if they pick up after calling. It is so frustrating. I feel like I'm doing a force restart on my phone at least 3x a day. These issues aren't cool when I use my phone for business.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. This help guide tells us to force restart...THE ******* PHONE WONT EVEN LET ME RESTART! I have the 7+ and it has taken a complete **** since I updated it. Its almost like they are purposefully doing this to force people to spend $1000 on their new phone which is basically the 7 with the camera on the other side. I am never buying another Apple product again.

If anybody from Apple is reading - I'm able to reproduce this issue of the phone freezing on my iPhone 5S.

It only occurs soon after the iPhone has been locked. ie you're using the iPhone, lock it with the top button. If you go to unlock soon after, you won't be able to do it - the phone is unresponsive.

If the phone has been locked for some time and then you go to use it, it's usually fine to use / responsive.

I am facing the same issue with iphone 6s . Please check your logs from "Settings -> Privacy ->Analytics -> Analytics data" . Check logs starting with "force reset" in it. I have 4 logs and all of them have " Calendar : 0x59**** Panicked task " within the initial 30 lines

I hardly have 15 apps on my device with no social n/w apps except for whatsapp, facetime and iMessage . Apple default Calendar app might be having memory leakage issue

OK. I’ve been having all the problems that everyone has been describing in this thread. I don’t know if this is the fix but I’ve been deleting apps that are not compatible with 64-bit and updating other apps as updates become available and for the past day and a half and myself phone has been stable, much longer than it’s been. I do wonder if this has been an app issue, dumb luck, or it will revert to a bascially brick-like state...

I have never had to wait for an appointment at the Genius Bar myself, but maybe my Apple Store has less foot traffic than yours. The idea of wiping and restoring my phone is completely unacceptable to me. The idea that Apple consistently proposes this as the solution to their malfunctioning software is pretty reprehensible. I am an Apple fanboy by the way so don’t get me wrong. I suspect that there are not enough regular users in the apple beta test group.

Everything is slowed down, this was the reason I moved from Android to Apple product because of reliability, it seems there is some problem with upgrade 11 and successive updates.

Till now no one try to fix this problem that I was looking in last update 11.0.3 which was for something else, If it would be not solved it might impact Apple revenue and image big time.

I think dream of having perfect phone and that perfection is missing for which we admire it.

Please take a serious consideration on this issue to fix.
