ios 11 update phone freezing

Have had the same issue from day 1 with a brand new 8 Plus. Probably frozen 30 times in 3 weeks. Called support and they suggested resetting as a new phone, but that would be a real pain. Only crashes when opening folders. Pathetic really. Want my reliable iPhone 6 back!

Hi All I had the same issue with my brand new iPhone 8 within 2 days, Apple was kind enough to replace the device and to my surprise the replaced one was perfect with same iOS 11.0.2 no single crash freeze whatsoever, with this I begun to think it might be to do with some HW specs probably specific processor/chip type etc...not sure though!

I have an iPhone 7plus and after I updated to iOS 11 my phone started to slow down, including IG, FB, Internet even though you already connected to WiFi and the WiFi is right next to you. I tried to restart everything but seems like still the same. It’s ***** every time thy will release a new phone and they will do an update and they will make the old phone slower so we can buy the new one ... smart right that’s how they make money now this days.

I tried resetting the settings. That didn’t work after about 30 mins-ish.

Apple told me hard reset. Also set back up to iTunes on PC. Then set up as new. After allll this, & the phone goes back to acting up & freezing again. Won’t let me send videos either.

Any other suggestions y’all😩😩

Yes. Apple said try it for a day or two. On the 2nd day I was still having issues. They had told me if no issues to restore from my iTunes on pc, not from iCloud. I was even having issues w/the phone while they tried to help me. I had already tried the hard reset BEFORE calling them. I still can’t sent brief video clips to phones they text nor to emails via phone😰😰

I had this happen too, and whenever I connected to Itunes and the Don't Trust/Trust this computer popped up, it always defaulted to Don't Trust. Therefore I could never connect to iTunes. What ended up working was completely draining my phone battery. I kept the flashlight on, played music from the control screen,etc. Once the battery died and I plugged it back in,it restarted fine.

Exactly the same here, I cannot do a hard reset or any type of reset, I have to run battery out to do anything, phone is OK then for a couple of days, then locks again, Iphone 6+ tried everything suggested on here and everywhere else

My iPhone 7 Plus has been freezing when I put it to sleep and then try to wake it back up with my fingerprint. It just stays black for a while and eventually will open again if I try enough times. Sometimes it takes almost a minute. This just started happening with iOS 11 and has gotten progressively worse. Today it has happened 10-15 times at least. My brother also has the 7 plus and has the same issue, although not as bad as mine. Anyone know of a fix?

I've tried almost everything there is to try. Bottom line, no real fix yet. Just hacks to make it less worse (until I switch to a Samsung phone).

I also have the Calendar kernel panics in my log files. How many calendars do you have synched? Which calendar services do you use?

I had Apple replace the phone, and I didn't restore from a backup, and I'm still getting the system hangs.

I’m having similar issues with my iphone! Since i updated it, now is not a smartphone anymore but a dumbphone! It’s slower, freezes with any app and when tipying it is slower than a turtlee with anesthesia! I’m also having trouble with the battery, it seems to last fewer hours than before and when charging sometimes it doesnt want to show it is effectively charging.

Dear Apple developers, i’m sure you can do better than this, please we need an ios update fixing this issues asap!!

.I’ve went through one iPhone 8 already and my newer iPhone 8 keeps doing the same thing.....really annoying, my patience is growing thin. My Verizon guy told me maybe it’s one of your apps well I took all apps off this morning and now I’m waiting.....I paid too much money to have this happen....

I upgraded my iphone6s from 11.0.3 to 11.1 on 01.11.2017, than the Phone app refused to start, it appears as blank, and disappear after a while ( 30seconds). I can't make a call any more. -:)

The solution is: Backup your phone first, "Reset All Settings". the Phone App starts to work.

My 6S Plus was fine until iOS 11.0.3 with its “screen fix” rolled out. Now I get intermittent freezing rather regularly. The only way to fix it is a rest which means the next issue will be a busted home button.

Apparently Apple stop caring if your phone is more than one iteration behind the latest most expensive model. Very disappointing.

The same happend to mine. I've started noticing that my touch screen became unresponsive a couple of times a day after updating to iOS 11.0.3. Now after updating to iOS 11.1 it's still happening but i've seen that it happens mainly after talking on the phone. It comes back to working again after pressing the lock button a couple of times.
