ios 11 update phone freezing

iPhone 7plus freezing frequently throughout the day. 11.01 doesn’t help at all. I’ve never had such a buggy version of iOS, and I’ve been a user since iPhone. Really poor quality control here, I’m concerned about the direction Apple is heading

iPhone 6s Plus 128gb here and after 11 update had a few issues that were annoying so I was happy to see another update so soon so updated and now the phone will lock up for up to a minute at a time now. It’s very annoying and hopefully Apple will fix that issue soon. It does not appear to be related with any app from what I can see because it’s locked up on the home screen not doing anything on the phone. I’ve noticed also that my volume buttons are not always working now as well and I hook my phone up to my car stereo via Bluetooth and play music and it used to always transmit the song data to the radio for display as well as album artwork and now it will still connect and play but I can no longer fast forward to next song and nothing is being sent to the radio as it just shows a blank screen now and I have to use phone to make changes which is more dangerous while driving so that is annoying as well. I’m hoping this will all get fixed soon with another update.

I'm having the same issue. iPhone 7+ 256gb, started the day I upgraded to iOS 11. Upgraded to 11.0.1 two days ago and still having apps freeze several times a day. Sometimes I can't even power cycle it and it takes 60-120 seconds before it just randomly starts working and processes all the clicks I did while it was frozen. I'm about ready to trade it in for a more reliable phone.

Hi, I jave 7+256gb and I have the same issue, phone is freezing randomly, I mena apps and whole system. I have already did comlete restore and it doesnt solve anything.

I cannot use the phone like this.

Fix this Apple!!!!

Experiencing the same issue here (7+) installed latest OS and now have the following issues;

Apps/lock screen freezes on “logo/welcome” screen

Volume buttons won’t work

No “now playing” on lock screen

Phone freezes then gives black screen with shutdown circle logo before restarting

Apps try to launch then close then re-open with no resolution of issue

Worst update to an OS I’ve encountered

Hi, I'm facing the same issue. Using iPhone 7 with iOS version 11.0.1

The phone just dead/freeze doesn't respond for any buttons. While am on whatsapp call the phone froze and doesn't respond at all. I tried to make a call from home line and i see that call is going through from home phone but no response on my iPhone, it doesn't even ring. Finally after trying several times to reset the phone, it worked but it kept happening. So far 3 times.

This IOS it’s a really bad joke, i’m definetly buying a Samsung next time. It seems to me that apple don’t even care of all the problems this IOS are causing and even worse, they don’t care all the money we expend on this phones.

Really disappointed.

So we are even. This is an Apple run user-to-user technical support site, why would you thing anyone here would be interested in whatever Android phone you decided to buy?

There is one good thing for you if you go that route, it is highly unlikely you will ever do an OS update.

Off course i know it’s a apple support forum, that’s why i’m posting (and all the others that have this stupid problems with a high end phone), so they (apple) know that we are having a lot of problems that we should not be having.

And yes, maybe not having to update to ios againg is the solution, and maybe i’m not gonna have all this problems again, who knows? Sometimes it’s good not to be such a funboy. I’ve been using apple phones since the very first one, and i,ve never had such a bad time with an update....we are on 2017, remeber that.

Mine too:( got a iPhone 6 and after the update to 11.01 min phone keeps freezing about 10-20 Times a day with normal use! *** is the problem with this update??!! It has to come a 11.02 Very Very soon! Luckily i was able to Tell all My friend thats has iPhone to NOT!!!! Update their phones!!

You have several options:

I am very very disappointed with this os and phone. Please fix it

1) "Notification Preview Always " is not working for any app

After ios 11/11.01 update i am not receiving notification popup after i unlock the device. Earlier after a WhatsApp Notification or a text message or any other app notification if i unlock device, those notifications will popup one by one.

Now i am not getting any notifications pop up

2) Mobile data issues, signal reduces frequently, no proper mobile internet, unable to download

3) App crashes like settings, WhatsApp and many other apps keep crashing

4) Once i off mobile data the screen do no work for few seconds. It becomes unresponsive

5) Huge battery drain. Ios 10.3.3 was much better...battery is draining very very very fast..pls fix

6) from a lock screen Slide Right to camera is not working most of the times

7) These are software issues..i am unable to change device as apple service center said these are software issues.

8)After repeated hard reset..no problem is solved

9) On control panel I switch off wifi, but if i go to settings, wifi is stills ON..ITS A BUG pls fix

IOS 10.3.3 was not having any of the above problems.

I am not happy with ios 11...pls release a quick fix for notification issue and battery issue as soon as possible..

My iPhone 7 with iOS11.01 is constantly freezing up, not opening applications, hanging at application opening screens, not making bluetooth connections etc etc. Requires constant rebooting - very inconvenient, almost unusable except as phone only. Tried reverting to 10.3.3 but this stripped all my applications and setting as last backups were iOS 11.01, require upgrade to that version to retrieve - quite a catch 22.

About time you fixed this Apple - I have been a loyal Apple customer for many years but this issue is sorely testing my patience. I suspect I am one of many. The longer the wait the more loss of customer goodwill.

Has anyone had a sensible response from Apple. This is appalling. Is there a way of reverting to the older IOS version until they fix this. You’d think Apple would learn that a phone has to make calls and receive them without 5 sec delay etc.... Come on Apple...

We have more than 20 iphone and several are blocked with another iOS update that causes a loss of productivity ... Again.

Is there a quality control at Apple? It seems that we are the BETA testers for Apple!

At our next mobile phone renewal, we will switch to Android. Sorry for Apple guys, productivity is the priority in business wold! (in case you do not remember).
