Updated to iOS 11. Now my iPhone won’t play on my Audi (2015 A6) MMI system. Audi or Apple’s issue?

Had the same issue.
Found that by removing the Bluetooth connection (deleting it) and then connecting via the MMI cable (no Blurtooth) it then worked as expected, (views of Albums,Songs, Artisits etc).
Once connected via the MMI then reconnected Bluetooth & phone and all is now working.
I have iPhone X with iOS 11.2.5 and unfortunately sometimes my device is not recognize on MMI (Audi A3 1.4 17/18). Can anybody help me?

I have the same issue in my 63/14 A4 the Bluetooth works fine but when I try and play my library the AMI system just freezes. I have an ongoing complaint with Audi UK they have told me today that this fault lies with Apple and they didn’t release the software update to them. Further news from Audi is that they have no plans to update it which makes the AMI function (Music wise) useless.
I have just downloaded the latest update on my phone but not tried it in the car yet so I'll test it today. Just a note re contacting Audi - I emailed and spoke to Audi customer service in the UK and they had no idea if or when there would be a firmware update so not very helpful.
I did wonder that, would make sense as to why they are trying to get me to purchase a new car ??
