Weather widget not working on ios 11

Me too. Just updated iPhone 7+ to 11.0.3. Every time I reboot the phone the widget is correct. It will not change to current weather. I have changed it to always use current location and rebooted. When temp actually changes in Weather app, the widget does not update. Apple!!, Please fix this!! thanks!!!

I have same problem. Iphone 5s and after upgrade to iphone 8 same problem. Widget is refreshing sporadicly. Same problem is on 3D touch on weather icon (widget is still freeze)...

I hope apple fix this on next ios update...

I complained to Apple at Product Feedback - Apple about this problem. Is that the right place? Obviously, Apple doesn't read discussions like this or an acknowledgement would have been posted. They should, but they don't.

Same problem on my SE with 11.0.3

The sun/moon icon updates correctly, but the shown temperature is the same for days now.

Also, in the app, are the two numbers on the right, next to the days temperatures? If so, why don't they have the degree symbol?

This is not the quality we expect from Apple!

Can somebody please on the 12.1 beta use the feedback app and report this to Apple! 11.1 iOS and still the same problem.

Curious thing whenever I delete the app or remove the city from the weather app, on the MacBook Pro running El Capitan the weather widget in the notification bar disappears too

Exactly the same problem here. I started having problems in iOS 10, but they were nothing like the ones in 11. I'm now on 11.1 and the widget still does not update. Here are two screenshots, at 9 a.m. widget shows weather which was at 10 p.m.

It's useless.

I tried the latest solution suggested in this thread, deleting and re-installing the Weather app with location services always on. Still doesn't update on my iPhone 8 Plus. I have filed a report about this with Apple (twice) at apple.com/feedback . It is disappointing that Apple does not find a way to acknowledge it is aware of a bug like this. Apple should monitor discussions such as this and should also send acknowledgements of product feedback notifications. This seems like a decision not to invest enough in customer service

What's also sad is that Apple 1) apparently doesn't monitor discussions such as this; 2) states that it will not respond when issues such as this one are posted to its feedback sites; and 3) has no apparent method of acknowledging that it is aware such issues exist. This, in my view, is arrogance toward the customer.

What is really strange is the fact that it works just fine on my wife's iPhone 6s.

Her iPhone is also updated with latest iOS 11.1.1 and the widget always worked for her with no issue.

So where is the problem then? Why would it work on some phones while not on others. I would not like to reset my phone totaly to factory settings to see if it works on a clean one as it is a lot of wasted time but I am just curious if that would change anything. Anyone of you maybe checked that?

Lets hope others do same so issue gets elevated, if Apple are aware they usually respond by replying that the Bug Report is a duplicate of another, or they can request additional info if it's new to them - hopefully they won't ignore! After every attempted fix, from the simple to the more complex, such as wiping the phone clean, the weather widget always misbehaves the same way for me: it works for a while — 3 or 4 hours — and then stops updating at all. Strange, mines now been working fine all day, go figure - have noticed that the Weather Widget on the Mac's Today/Notifications always appears upto date and does it instantly (ie. always same as that on the Web using Safari when going to the Weather Channel site), the Weather App on iOS although nearly as good sometimes has the odd "hour" out by 1 degree, but always seems to update within a very short time to mirror that on the Mac.

The Widget on the other hand has been anyones guess when it decides to show the correct figures, but last few days as I've said have been quite good (previous to that had to turn the bloody thing off for a while because it was driving me mad), when it does lag behind it only seems to be the temp for "Now" thats effected, but that updates within the following few minutes.

Although non of the above helps, it's just strange how variable this issue appears to be.

Woo woo; we’ll see. I’m out of town for a few days and will install 11.2 with all hope when I’m home — maybe after a wipe-clean of the phone and a set-up as new. If all that doesn’t help, then who knows: iOS 12 perhaps!

I updated to iOS 11.2 this morning and kept an eye on the weather widget all day while traveling. There seems to be no change in its aberrant behavior. It still gets stuck and won't update for long periods of time, if at all.

This is beyond ridiculous...

I have the same issue on my iPhone X. I discovered it while being on 11.1.2 and after the Saturday update to 11.2 it is still not fixed. I am absolutely sure that no reset or restart will fix it long term. Lazy coding Apple.
