- The connector is at the bottom side of the iPhone's lightning port and not the top.
- I'm still to figure out how I can take a sharp and a clear picture of the inside of the port.
Hello,
We here at Agent Mobile just discovered something relating to this as we had a number of iPhone 6's in for repairs and deal a lot with these advanced issues. After replacing the battery we were stuck with this same problem (Battery replaced was OEM certified). We feel this is related to an OEM apple battery having the correct voltage and amps to continue the update. After temporarily putting the original depleted batter back in iPhone, the restore process went smoothly. So if anyone is having issues and you still have your OEM battery that is a place to start. If you have never done repairs to your iPhone there may be a deeper issue. Seeing this issue still discussed in 2018 we felt is was needed to mention our resolve solution.
Thanks,
Josh

Try to change your data cable and/or use tool called "ReiBoot"
Has anyone figured this out? This is insane. I have tried everything. Come on Apple!
That's concerning since we haven't simply griped about this issue here, but also through official channels at Apple stores.
I also have this problem and I have tried all the possible hard reboot and restore via iTunes. It's still stuck on the "verifying..." - has anyone figured it out?? Thanks!
These tools cost money and carry no guarantee of success. And I've never heard any success stories from people using these tools.
Same issue. Phone mysteriously bricked not long after upgrading to iOS11. This will be my last Apple product.
glad to be the first đ.. and I also used the free version and it worked!
its been more than 2 months and still same issue persisting...really disappointed to see what apple has turned into
Have you tried with a fresh windows xp/8 and itunes recently installed?
Regards
The stages you mentioned, describe my problem as well. I, too, am going to try it 4 times. Can you tell us which version of iOS 11 you tried to restore it with?
