Same problem, but as you can see it seems even worse on my phone than I see some; it doesnt even show any slide possibilities on the bottom and it won’t slide at all. I can’t access camera or anything else. Restarted and even resetted (wich worked for 1 day so that was all for nothing).
Anyway seriously I’ve seen this date back since even 2014? And still no fix? No more Apple for me; that’s for sure.
This happened to me on my iPhone 7...now continuing on the X - definitely annoying. Hoping they release another sofware update that addresses it because resetting and not restoring from a backup, as one of the representatives from a local Apple store told me, hardly seems like a viable solution considering the ease of transferring data is one of the main reasons many of us continue to stay loyal.
Updated my 3+ months old iphone7 to 11.0.1, got this issue. Reversed back to IOS 10.x
There went 11.0.2, 11.0.3, 11.1 releases. Surely Apple fixed it by now?
Updated to 11.1. It lasted about a week. Now I got blank lock screen again.
Apple seriously needs to get back on quality track.
Yes, I’ve provided feedback with every beta that I’ve tested since iOS 11 started after WWDC 17.
I’m not sure why a glaring bug like this is being overlooked at for this long.
I’ll keep posting on this thread until a fix is implemented providing updates and feedback.
It hadn't happened in a month before yesterday so I hadn't been watching this forum. Hadn't noticed the Discover widget connection. I just removed it. We'll see if it happens again. Thanks! Still hesitant to upgrade IOS. iPhone 7 11.0.2
Though this resolved the clock coming back, the camera from lock screen will display the blank screen with wallpaper. I am confident this is a bug with Camera and how they coded to invoke from lock screen. It gets messed up when you hold the phone by touching the screen accidentally.
Oops. I was mistaken. Only widgets on for me: News, Amazon, Fandango, iShows, Waze, and Yelp....
So are you stating that we need to stop using all widgets to get this bug to go away?
This seems counter productive, in that I use the widgets daily, but this bug only happens occasionally. So I lose daily productivity over this bug? hmm... disappointing.
Did you find any permanent solution? I visited to Apple store for almost 6 times for my iPhone7, even they were clueless, they suggested me to restart, hard reset, DFU reset and later they swapped my phone but still the same issue with the new one. They even blamed me saying my backups or apps are corrupted which was silly.
I also bought iPhone X on 1st January and today again I'm facing the same issue so ANNOYING 😟.
Just started happening for me. Blank screen when I swipe down. The clock, my notifications, all missing. Though the small clock reappears at the top when I swipe up as if looking through the notiffeed.
Agreed. There are a couple glitches that appear between iOS and other apps. Not sure what the processes for testing with all the other apps but this one in particular Needs to be fixed at the source Since it seems to affect a lot of people.Right now we have a workaround that is better than what we had before but still not solution.
I have the same thing on my SE. Generally speaking iOS 11 works great,fast, but sometimes there comes a very laggy animation, or all these little bugs..
iOS 11.0.1 is on the table.
