After upgrading my iPhone SE to iOS 11, the clock on lock screen disappearred.
When I restart, the clock reappears, but again it disappears.
Is there any other solution other than restarting the iPhone?

Looks like this is (maybe) a perm fix. I have had this issue since 11 and re-boot no luck, reset and reinstall from backup no luck, reinstall totally clean no luck. But this easy fix / workaround seems to have worked:
Settings -> Display -> View -> Zoomed and then Settings -> Display -> View -> Standard.
So far almost a full day and no disappearing clock.
This setting is not present on my iPhone X. There is a 'Zoom' under accessibility but it is for the magnifying glass.
i’m having the same problem. my phone will light up when i get a text but the time and notification won’t come through.
This Worked for me:
Settings -> Dispay & Brightness -> Bold Text (Toggle on then Back off)
Version: 11.2.1
Model: Iphone x
This is still happening to me. I tried the above solutions but they are only temporary
I guess we just have to wait for a software update.
I spoke to apple today and they said the permanent fix will come in form a Software update.
I have an iPhone X and it does it as well. Only fix I have found is restarting the phone. Wish there was a reset function on the x like on the older iPhones...
Okay, I can confirm that it is the widgets causing the error. Typically certain banking widgets. Delete each one until you find the culprit.
Just remove the non native widgets

Luckily I’m in The Netherlands also, and have rhe ING widget.
I”l remove the widget and see if this solves it.

I already made that clear several posts earlier that the ING Widget caused my clock to disappear. Not sure why people are repeating the same solution over and over...
To me it was brand new.
I am running iPhone X with iOS 11.x -> I don't have a setting in Display for "View".
I noticed this problem on my iPhone 7Plus. But it seemed to have went away as mysteriously as it appeared.
This worked for about 2 days and then I started having the same issue again.
You could try to reset your network settings.
I HAVE THAT PROBLEM TOO AND ITS VERY ANNOYING! Please fix this apple!!
