iOS 11 - Clock on lock screen disappears

How many times do you think we can zoom and change it standard? There should be a better solution than doing this right?

Wish that worked for me! I get no response on my new phone 8plus and can’t access anything. The only thing I can do when it happens is do a shut down. Those are the only buttons that work 😞

For what it’s worth this seems to be triggered on my device by the DND driving mode blocking a notification. I have to reboot and get the clock back on the lock screen until driving mode blocks a notification again. This only started in the last day or two for me.

I don't understand what this post is suggesting. There is no Settings -> Display screen in iOS 11. It is Settings -> Display & Brightness. Under that there is no View. Where exactly is "Settings -> Display -> View -> Zoomed"?

I began having this issues on my iPhone 7 following the iOS 11 update. I reset the phone and set up as new. Nothing. Took the phone into apple countless times. They reinstalled 11, reset the phone again as new. Nothing. They gave me a brand new 7. Same thing. All the same steps again. I decided to upgrade to the 8 figuring that would get rid of the issue. After all, the 8 came installed with iOS 11... Set it up as new.. SAME THING. Take it back in. They swapped it out for another new 8. Mind you, it cost me money to upgrade in terms of new applecare and tax, for a phone I really didn't want as I was happy with my 7 and planned to own it in a year. I get a call back from applecare and they escalate it to engineering. They ask for a diagnostic and screenshot of the blank screen, and I provide it. The woman was very helpful at first, now she won't return my calls...

Nothing works for this issue. I thought possibly I had a corrupt file in the cloud, however, I have no problem with my iPad Air 2 running iOS 11.0.3 (same as my phone) and I have everything synced. So that's not it. Thought it was a horoscope website I started using. Cleared my Safari history and it stayed away for 8 days (!!!) before happening again. NOTHING WORKS to keep this horrible bug from returning.

This fix worked for me

When the clock does not show on the lock screen swipe up and turn on portrait mode lock. Go to llock screen. Log in. Swipe up and turn it off and the clock comes back on the lock screen.

It’s gotten better as I’ve removed some widgets. Not entirely, and I’ve been removing / adding back widgets one by one. I’m starting to suspect that it has more to do with how many widgets are running instead of which particular widgets you have. Like too many is overloading the lock screen.

I disabled all my widgets except the weather and calendar a couple days ago and so far so good, haven't had the issue considering it was happening every day. I'll be turning on my widget one by one on a weekly basis to see when the problem surfaces again. Regardless this isn't a fix for this issue. We should not be forced to turn off a convenient feature because Apple has no fix for the issue.

Not a fix for me. It's the same as turning off my phone. Momentarily fixes it, but that's it. Going to try 11.1 Public Beta

It has been a few days now. The phone repeated the same problem twice until I changed the background picture of my home screen, I have NOT had a repeat since.

Luckily I’m in The Netherlands also, and have rhe ING widget.

I”l remove the widget and see if this solves it.

Unfortunately thats not going to fix the issue, that may be a temporary fix but the problem will come back. At the time and date the only fix i’ve found was turning off all my widgets.
