iOS 11 - Clock on lock screen disappears

I am running iOS 11.0.3 on iPhone 6. The time on the clock icon on the home screen gets “frozen” to whatever time it was before that screen was last displayed. Anyone had this issue? Example: if I’m currently on home screen, the time on the clock icon appears correct, say 7:15 Then I open an app for 20 minutes. It is now 7:35, but when I close the app and go back to the home screen, clock icon still says 7:15. If I swipe left to the second screen of icons, then swipe back to the screen with the clock icon, the time on the icon becomes current (fixes itself). This also happens when phone not in use. When I open it from rest/dark screen, the clock icon is showing whatever time it was when I last used the phone (for any purpose, not just a call). Then I swipe left and back, and time on the icon is then correct. Annoying. I do need to update to 11.2.2, but could have the same issue then. Any ideas??

I’m on 11.2.2 with iPhone X and I don’t have any View settings under Display/Brightness.

Been seeing this issue for almost 5 months now on iOS 11, multiple devices. Can’t imagine they don’t know what’s going on.

Sooooo Theres no official fix for this. has APPLE visited this thread to see if they can implement a fix or are we just left here sitting and waiting for a fix. This is extremely frustrating when Apple can't provide a **** fix for this. I don't want be turning off my widgets just to fix a small issue. This very problem happened to me as I was trying to pull up my ticket for the airline, causing me having to restart my phone and wasting time at the airport. Shame on Apple for not recognizing their mistakes of the trash that is IOS11 they put out, instead of relying on workarounds. Apple fix this issue!

I had the same issue on my iPhone 7 Plus when I updated to iOS 11. Imagine my surprise when my new iPhone X started doing the same thing. I wonder if the bug isn’t baked into the settings somehow as it seemed to follow me to my next phone.

Same problem here... at least 5 times a day. Very annoying.

Called with apple customer service today, didn't hear about this problem before...😕

I also try to shut down all the widgets and see what it will bring.

I had this same problem as well with my iPhone 6s. Got to the point where my phone would only get to the start up white screen with the apple logo when restarting it. so I upgraded to the iPhone 8 Plus, 24 hours later and I’m back at the apple store because the same thing is happening to my very expensive phone I paid out of pocket for . They “fixed” it by reinstall My software and it’s still happening. I’m seriously considering a Sony Experia. All this apple trouble is really ticking me off. I think I’ll pay the 50$ reboxing fee and suck it up.

Finally! I’ve been struggling with this for a while and had tried everything recommended by the employees at the Apple Store. I guess this is my new fix until they release a fix. Hopefully they fix it soon. Thank you.

So far so good ! Don’t want to jinx it by sounding to excited lol.

Now if the sound issue can be fixed so I don’t have to keep restarting to get sounds such as keyboard clicks or text tones back, it will be perfect !

Having the exact same issue with my 5s. Swiping down helps some of the time but not always. I’ve never restarted my phone so much as in the last week.

Apple, please fix!

Hi, I was hoping this was not just me. Been having the problem ever since I updated my 7 plus to 11.0.1.

That had worked for me so far also. Let’s see how it goes.

I was hoping iOS 11.0.1 fixed this issue but it did not. common Apple, fix it asap!

Fingers crossed! This appears to fix it; my clock disappeared after (disastrous) upgrade to iOS 11.0.2. Spending a lot of time sorting out carnage caused by this upgrade... Wish I’d never done it.
