iPhone 8 Plus Sound Distortion

ios 11.2 is out and bug is still here. as i said before, it is the last apple product i buy. incredible how stupid they are. ios 11 is the most buggiest platform i’ve ever seen, nothing works as it should!! if this is a software problem, ok, i’ll just wait for couple of months. if it doesn’t get fixed, i’ll sell this crap iphone 8 for half the price and buy a god dam oneplus 5t or pixel 2. i swear it cannot be worse than the iphone!!

I have the same issue, speak sound distortion in high volume and if i received for instance whatsapp messages repeatedly. The notification sound is laggy and distorted.

It seems a software issue, Apple???!

It was a retail grey iPhone 8 branded box.

I’m not sure why you’re trying to find out if I got a refurb white box when I already said I didn’t. I got all the peripherals etc too. It was brand new and was manufactured around November time judging by the iOS version it had on it.

My iPhone 8 plus is also having sound distortion when I just have music playing and I'm not even touching my phone, as well as when I'm using my phone for texting or even if I'm just using an app like twitter or instagram, however this does not happen when my iphone is connected to a bluetooth speaker or headphones.

I have the Iphone 8 64gb Space Grey and when i play audio i get occasional Popping/Crackling noises coming from the speakers within the phone. Im not sure if its an internal problem or it can be fixed with an update but it is worrying me!

I have bought my iphone 8 a day ago. And I have exactly the same problem. It is really annoying. I also tried the beta version, but nothing changes. Still have the same problem. Is there any apple announcement about this problem? Is it a software problem or hardware problem? As I checked not every iphone 8 has this problem. I am not sure if I should wait for an ios update or take the phone to apple service. :/

Mine just started when I updated to iOS 11.2.5 and it’s sounds like a Nokia phone, it sounds very bad and since I’m in Nigeria I can’t get a replacement, I can’t even play music out and watch videos because it sounds very squeaky and muffled at the top... I’m seriously tired.

Having this issu. When I play Bluetooth audio at home from my iPhone 8 on any of several speakers the sound will occasionally sound garbled no matter the range or clear line of sight. Worked great with my iPhone 7.

Very true. I did sent mine back to the reseller and they said everything is fine. I even record the popping sound when it happen and they don’t believe it. Very frustrating and disappointed as it is very common issue with the phone even my mom 8plus did the same thing. Hope it is software issue and it can be fixed. Pls Apple don’t hide.

Having the same distortion issue with phone calls, have the 8 plus since September of 2017. The problem seem to be getting worse, will take it the store for troubleshoot. I was hoping all those updates would fix the problem, might need a special patch for distortion.

We just got a new iphone 8 today and downloaded the latest update and noticed the crackling noise. It wasnt as bad as i have heard reports about, but it is pretty disappointing when you spend $$$ and get a faulty product. We upgraded from an iphone 6 and kinda want to go back to an iphone 6 just one day into it. I wonder if android user have similar issues to this?
