Aperture in macOS High Sierra...

Hi,

This is just feedback back to the Aperture community.

I updated my MacBook Air (2014) to the latest macOS 10.13, all seems good with Aperture. Adjustments look fine, loupe, importing, exporting.

If I come across any issues, I'll post back.

I do have a Mac Pro (2010 SSD w/ Apple RAID) to update. That'll wait until the WACOM drivers are released end of Oct.

I'm still waiting on a good alternative to Aperture...

Currently the ACD See app (although well spec'd for Windows) has very good potential. Currently there is a beta for Mac users.

I will still check in on Capture One / Lightroom (?7) on occasion.

ATM Aperture is still working (for now) 😎

I upgraded and all is fine. i am unlikely to change cameras either, so I am good for now.

Hi John,

Great tip about using the Adobe DNG converter, I just tried it with EOS 6D MKII files, perfect. Maybe Aperture will last even longer now (till I find a better replacement). 😎

Hello, I have a new iMac with Fusion drive and Aperture works fine, except for the export which crashes all the time. Does anybody else has the same bug ?

Just use the menue item under Files: Import Catalogue>ApertureLibrary...

Look for your catalogue to import and choose and start importing.

This works for me without any problems.

Did it crash once or repeatedly? Does it crash, when you launch Aperture on a new library? Or while holding down the Shift key when launching Aperture?

I have been working happily with Capture One Pro for some time now as a replacement for Aperture. I like it, though I would wish the CO crew added RAW support for some compact cameras.
