Apple TV 4k laggy

I brought my new Apple TV 4k last Friday on launch day, ever since I had weird lag issues with the controls, it happens in the home screen, settings, apps and even when scrolling the timeline in a movie or tv show, sometimes it can even "freeze" for 2-3 seconds before responding, it doesn't happen every time but it does happen often enough to notice it fairly easily. But beside that, to problem playing any apps or media, the all work fine, it only looks to be a problem with the remote. I tried a factory restore and it did not help.

I had this same experience; See the following thread for how I mitigated it: Apple TV 4K bluetooth range diminished

Bottom line; The Bluetooth functionality of the new remote seems to be more susceptible to interference from other WiFi/BT devices in the vicinity. My answer was to turn off BT on my AVR which is right next to the ATV.

Still no joy from my end.... a fix is definitely needed. Even the app is laggy, but not as much.

I am having the same exact issue. Please god Apple release a fix ASAP. This is driving us insane.

Similar experience to me- i also have a 2016 LG OLED. 55BV ETC.

I have same tv and its been connected to the ARC socket from day 1. It shouldnt make an improvement....

I am also having this issue. Apple has replaced the remote and box. It is still happening though. I had 4th gen in the same spot and never had an issue.

I hope they can resolve the lag issue soon.

here also since day one - the issue appears mostly after intense use of the trackpad. switching cables also dind´t help. not the quality expected from apple.

I guess so - the call center support had no clue the last weeks (usual software reset, cable, ...)

The Ultra High Speed Belkin Cable did not fix this issue for me.
