Iphone 8 plus wireless charging problem

Nothing to worry about. Even if your phone shows it's on a QI Charger, your phone will not continue to charge beyond 100%.

You're waiting for a solution from the wrong company. There is nothing wrong with your iPhone. If you are hearing beeps on the charger, get another charger.

It's very unlikely it's actually anything to do with temperature. The phone does not get that hot with wireless charging. I've had a number of wireless charging devices, and none of them had wireless charging problems due to the heat. It only gets slightly warm. That's all.

7.5W charging is not implemented yet. Apple said it will be updated through iOS update. So it is not charging at its full capability (Belkin one is able to charge at 7.5W). I do not think it is any faster than other chargers. The max would still be 5W, just the same as charging with bundle charger.

I have this similar problem on my iPhone 8 with the Samsung convertible I got from Best Buy. It doesn't matter what percentage the battery shows, the blue light turns on then it blinks every 6 seconds or so. It disconnects/reconnects. I tried positioning it in different ways, trying to center it up just right. I tried it folded up and folded down. I tried it with the plastic case and without. Sometimes it will stay steady blue, but not charge. But most of the time, it won't stay steady blue and won't charge. It will blink every 6 seconds when it isn't steady blue. Sometimes, it will be steady blue for a few mins, then start slow blink. But it won't charge. I don't think the fan it's supposed to have is working. I don't hear a fan or feel a fan.

Are Samsung convertibles just not compatible with iPhone 8/+?

I am using a Tyler wireless charger as well and when my phone hits 100% it will disconnect and reconnect to the wireless charger and keep doing that repeatedly to the point I have to remove my phone from the wireless charger in the middle of the night because it keeps waking me and my husband up.

Has anyone found a fix other than buying a charger from Apple? The Tylt charger has worked on every android wireless phone I have ever owned that was Qi compatible.

My Qi chargers still indicate it's charging with LED even if my iPhone 8 Plus is fully charged. Upgraded to 11.1, and still acts the same - very annoying and disappointed.

Should I factory reset through iTunes?

Have almost the same setup as you, but with 11.1 it starts to flash slowly like every 5 second when the phone reaches 100%, this goes on for like 30s. Then it stays solid blue? The difference is that its an ipx, should be the same. Is your behaving the same?

I don't think it's a heat issue either, but at the moment it's the only solution being offered by Apple.

I'm using an iphone 8 that stops at 80% via wireless charging but reaches 100% when I manually charge straight after taking it off of the wireless mat.

I also have the Samsung Wireless Convertible Charger and the part that concerns me is the fact that the light on the front stays blue the whole time even past 100%. When I put my co workers Note 8 on it for 10 min at 100% it turns green. I want to be sure by using this charger I am not overcharging my phone. There are other Qi chargers out there that turn green as if they have stopped charging the device when it is full. I want to know if this is a charger I should be returning and getting something else?

Has anyone got their light on this charger to turn green at any point when at 100%?

Sorry if what I said in the second post was confusing. I was saying if it communicated correctly to the device and the light turned green it would turn the device off. I was talking about the overheating and longevity of the device itself. Im glad to know the phone wont overcharge though.

I just want the item I got to work the way it was made to, but im glad the phone is safe.

I have Anker QI (5W) charger. I have still issue even if I updated to iOS 11.1. Charging light stays blue when my iPhone 8 is %100 charged, not showing battery is full. I expect Apple guys to find a solution for next updates. Very annoying.

Anyone having that same beeping noise and issues using the actual lightning cord charger? My iPhone 8 Plus makes that noise in the middle of the night while charging and wakes me up! I have to unplug it-tried apple cord and other cords and it happens with all of them when it hits 100%
