I had the same problem with WiFi not auto connecting then falling off. I went into settings > WiFi> I selected my WiFi connection and tapped on (I) I saw the Auto Join was disabled. I think this may have happened during the last update. It fixed my problem

These steps are simply to connect to a wifi network. The issue here is that the phone keeps dropping the wifi everytime we lock it. After unlocking the phone, if we click on the settings - it connects back on its own - but again as soon as you lock the phone it drops. We have to keep repeating the process to get back on the wifi, which is a big pain. Please suggest how to resolve the issue.

Mine keeps dropping signal when I'm based in the same room as the router but when I leave the room and go upstairs it connects and stay connected!

Can't understand why this happens as all my other devices connect and stay connected in the room with the router.

Went into Apple shop for support and they seemed to think the phone was working perfectly fine when they looked at it and suggested I reset my router.

I'm not happy. Took their advice but problem persists.

2 other problems I also have are a bad quality fuzzy sound during a call

And not being able to get my iPhone 8plus to communicate and transfer data to my other devices via Bluetooth!

Hi Friends,

I have recently bought Iphone8 and seeing one weird behavior . My phone works well when it is not locked and connected to wifi. But when i lock my phone and leave it for some time then WIFI gets disconnected and it doesn't connect again until i unlock my phone. My other phone and devices are not having this problem with my wifi.

Does anyone face this issue ?

I’m having a different set of wifi issues. My wifi on my 8 Plus says it’s connected, but none of my apps register the wifi connection.

Plex says connect to wifi to sync even though I am connected.

Reeder won’t cache images because it thinks I am not connected to wifi.

The only way to fix it seems to shut off cellular data then suddenly it will work over wifi.

I JUST bought the iphone 8, and this is happening to me too. It's frustrating when you spend good money on an expensive product only to have it do this. Apple, get your you-know-what together and remedy this issue. Please. I'm becoming more and more frustrated with the quality of your products and services, and I've been loyal to you for so freaking long.

I have the exact same problem and I have tried all the troubleshooting steps ! And even Apple Customer Support is saying there is nothing wrong with the iPhone but I think it's a iOS software issue and they are not agreeing to it rather saying it's my router which cannot be because my 5C also has the same issue and I have other non-Apple devices which do not get their Wi-Fi dropped!

I am keeping a record as requested by Apple. So far it has dropped out 3 times in about 4 days, once while out under 4G. Suddenly the sat nav, and internet dropped out. Again, turning the phone on and off restarted the system, but I'm afraid this is not good enough. I have bought a phone worth a gnats whisker short of a grand, and I expect it to work properly. This is the first apple product that has let me down. So, if anyone at Apple views this forum, please let me know that exactly you will do abut my problem.

Hi, I’m having exactly the same problem which is so frustrating done all the updates needed the phone just turns itself off mid-phone call which is no good if I have an emergency

This is becoming ridiculous

WiFi at home is phone no connection problems on apple mac my partners iPhone or the two iPads we have

Also devise is expensive this shouldn’t be happening !

Yes! This has been occurring regularly since buying my 8+ in December. WiFi keeps turning off and the only way to fix it is to recycle the WiFi button and WiFi will stay on for a bit.

This has been occurring so much so that I actually unknowingly went over on my data usage from att. Apple *****. Oh I’m glad Apple spent so much time on their message boards here to block negativity but can’t keep their IOS fixed. Apple $-U-C-K-$
