Apple Watch face fell off.

The face of my Apple watch fell off. I am 64. My watch is not beat up and very good taken care of. Never been dropped....etc. By the number of posts on this subject it is almost if, there is a problem with the assembly. I just wonder if it is worth it taking it to the Apple Store, as I am not willing to pay $200 for a repair.....

Hi

Contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider to arrange for your Apple Watch to be inspected and to establish your available service options:

I'm afraid that no-one here can tell you what Apple will decide. (You are not talking to Apple here - this is a user-based technical support community).

My nieces watch had the same thing happen to her today. And it’s probably because of the battery expanding. I called Apple and they are going to send her a box with prepaid shipping and they will repair or replace the watch and send it back to her within five business days. The watch need to be unpaired from the phone before they can begin their process... fyi

It has been my experience with watches that all Apple does is find out what the problem is right down the explanation and send the watch out, because the people at the Apple stores don’t diagnose (that kind of problem) or fix watches. The scratch they saw on the corner of your watch could’ve been from you reaching down between your seat and your console in your car to try and get something that fell... don’t let them tell you what happened, make sure they hear what you have to say. If it was me I would call Apple support and speak with a senior advisor and hopefully with any luck you will get someone that is actually knowledgeable about watches and with that problem. That seems a little absurd to have happened with an series 3 watch.

The face fell off of nieces series one watch yesterday because of a battery expansion. (And it is being replaced for free) So maybe you could start there and add that in there. Good luck.
