How do I remove the music player from the lock screen in iOS 11?
I need to see my notifications. I don't use the music player... I will NEVER use the music player. It's taking up valuable real estate.
Thanks!

I'm confused. The Music player on the lock screen, only appears if you are actively playing something when you turn on the screen. If you have not been playing anything, or pause it and unlock the iPhone and then turn off the iPhone, the playback section should disappear. It will not disappear if you just pause from the lock screen and turn if off.
Otherwise its not there, and you just need to swipe up to get the notifications.
However, you'll always need to swipe up to see notifications though, and they'll take over the space used by the playback controls any way even if they are there. Notifications are no longer shown directly in the lock screen, and need to be revealed by swiping up regardless.
This worked but had to shut down and restart phone after.
Ugh. I know that is annoying I was about ready to switch to Android. But this did work for me. Just ***** that I can’t use Pandora (unless I want to be annoyed) until the bugs are fixed
Worked the first time. Came right back next morning. Turning it off didn’t help either. :(
I have the same problem and have tried everything. I guess I have to make an appoint
Did the new update: the stupid thing is back!!!! Was not addressed!!!! So anoyin
I can’t make sense of the question.
Recommend downloading & reading the manuals.
Doesn't work on mine.
UPDATE: updating the iOS DID NOT fix the media player issue. It is now stuck on the lock screen again.
IT WORKED! Thank you! I would not have figured that out in a million years.
Did you ever solve this problem?
Still have the problem?
Worked for me except I just had to restart my phone (turn off and turn on again). Thanks!
Turn the phone off. Turn the phone on. Hopefully it is gone. It worked for me! 🙂
