How do I remove the music player from the lock screen in iOS 11?
I need to see my notifications. I don't use the music player... I will NEVER use the music player. It's taking up valuable real estate.
Thanks!
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.0.1

So is there an update on this?
This quite annoying and eating up real estate on the lock screen !!
Fix it Apple, we don’t need or want the music player control on our lock screens all the time !!!!!!!!
Worked for me except I just had to restart my phone (turn off and turn on again). Thanks!
Hard reset worked for me. Hold the lock button and down volume button at the same time and it will turn off and back on.
Turn the phone off. Turn the phone on. Hopefully it is gone. It worked for me! 🙂
Thank you for posting this solution! This has been driving me crazy. Deleting the music app appears to have worked for me, too :-)
This helped me. Thanks!
So a friend of mine had this problem. Opened the home screen, swiped right, went to the bottom of the screen to edit and removed whats up next. Fixed his problem. Worth a try.
Hard Reboot. Press and hold lock and home button for about 15-30 seconds or so.
People replying to apple threads without reading the question properly are so dumb. Come on people.
This technique
worked for about a week and then it showed up again. Now the technique isn't working for me.
Thank you. This appears to solve the issue of the banner re-appearing in the locked screen without turning off Bluetooth or re-booting.
Correct, this removes the banner but it re-appears again thus DOES NOT solve the bug. Maybe if you read the threads and be less judgmental?
Worked for me; thanks.
I have the same issue. I can't remove it
Just shut down your phone completely and wait a minute or two. Then open it again and the music player is gone from the lock screen. It has worked for me so far.
Yes that’s what I ended up doing. But I don’t want to keep turning my phone on and off
You don’t have to. I did it once and it’s gone. That was hours ago and with opening my phone it’s still good.
