How do I remove the music player from the lock screen in iOS 11?

I need to see my notifications. I don't use the music player... I will NEVER use the music player. It's taking up valuable real estate.

Thanks!

Fix it Apple, we don’t need or want the music player control on our lock screens all the time !!!!!!!!

I'm having the same issue... and have been following your thread here. This is definitely some sort of OS bug. I had an iPhone 6 and updated to iOS 11 a week ago, I never had this issue before the update. The only reason I installed the update was because I pre ordered the iPhone X- and wanted to back up all my content. I got the X in the mail today and restored to my last back up and the bug is still there. I've been on Apple support chat 3 times, nothing they suggest has fixed the issue. I have tried absolutely everything I can think of to get rid of it. I now have an appointment to bring the phone in so they can delete the current operating system and try to re install it. Phil,

This is what was on the screen of my iPhone 7 + with iOS 11.0.1 when I unlocked it by tapping the power button:

If I lock the phone and unlock it again, they are gone and I have to swipe up but new ones are right there. This has been my consistent experience.

I'll need to test this more as I get more notifications. Generally, I only see them when they arrive, but after that, they're hidden and I need to swipe up.

I’ve noticed that the Apple Music widget shows up on my lock screen after I use Apple Remote app to control my Apple TV. It will not go away until I reboot my phone. Comes back every time I use the Apple Remote app. This new iOS is full of so many bugs like this. 3 patches now and still have issues with iOS 11 on my iPhone 7. I’m so frustrated. Same thing here and no body seems to understand that there’s no reason for this to be showing. It’s just annoyingly there. I deleted the music app from my phone, and it’s still there. User uploaded file

I even turned off my internet and WiFi connections, but it’s still there.

Another annoying thing is that if I’m listening to Spotify and pause by clicking on my earphones controls, it will Start playing music from the music app. (Which is not even on my phone anymore). Only way to turn it off is to force restart. And then we are back on the same problem again.

NO!! Now here this... open Music app and closing it doesn't make it go away. Shutting down and starting up doesn't make it go away... it just comes back within 5 minutes. Remote doesn't make a difference. Being on WiFi doesn't make a difference. This is a glitch in iOS 11 that they need to fix!!! In fact, it comes and goes with no logical pattern and sometimes, I get this...User uploaded file

That is not the problem unfortunately.

The problem is that it’s stuck ON notifications screen even when no app is running, even after you (swipe up) all apps, even when I have 0 music on my library, even when I delete my Music Apps, even when I have my safari cleaned up, no video playing anywhere, even when I turn it off and one again.

This shows on screen when I wake my iPhone:User uploaded file

There is nothing to play, there is nothing available. It should be off screen.

Please turn off all your apps that you can play something, get off WiFi, Swipe Up all your apps, put your iPhones to Sleep, then Wake Up your iPhones and take a screenshot.

You will see it is not like mine (above). If you don’t have the same problem.
