Yahoo email not working in mail app with iOS 11

Yeah, I'm getting the same thing "checking mail" and the spinning wheel. I'm using an iphone 7 w/ ATT. This started happening with ios 11. I really don't want to have to use a different mail app.

A week ago sounds about right for me as well. And yes if I delete the account then add it again it does work but only for a short while.

To update the last post, this morning Yahoo email is not working again on my iPhone. I give up; time to start migrating to another email service.

Has this solution taken hold? Trying it now cause I'm at my wit's end with this issue.

Really, this workaround is the only one that has been a constant for me. I tried a few before IndyChuck48 came along with this and haven't looked back since 19 December. Thanks, Indy.

Happened to me yesterday with Yahoo mail. Junk mail works fine. But Inbox just keeps spinning and not updating.

This is a Yahoo issue. Apple Mail application communicates directly with Yahoo servers. If Yahoo servers are giving Apple Mail application mixed communications then it a Yahoo server issue.

It’s illogical. All other mail clients as outlook and spark work perfectly

My Gmail and Outlook both work fine, only Yahoo has occasional issues

I am not sure what the down issues with yahoo are, I can say pretty much with certainity yahoo webmail has been working without any issues at all for me.

My yahoo email is not working well either. I deleted the account & added again too. Even words with friends working slow & screen kind of flashes when I switch back to app

I install the Yahoo Mail app and the mail app return to work. Maybe is some autorization or something like that.
