I disagree this didn’t work on an iPhone X you should find a way to solve this
If (and only if) it is a group iMessage conversation with at least three other people, tap the info button on the top right corner and then swipe left over the person you'd like to remove.
Send a group message on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
I see what the problem was the people I was texting appeared in green. Thank you for your help.
Hi, I have a group chat with only three other people. It’s not on iMessage, and I added them by accident. Help!
Oh, so you mean everyone on that said group has to have iOS or I can’t delete people?
That is correct.
So you are saying that there isn’t a way to delete them?
Totally agree. The new version rules suck. I created a 10 person text this morning and wanted to remove one or two people. Not good Apple!!
So do I just delete the whole group message since I can’t delete a single contact? I am trying to get a contact out of a group message that is not an I group message..
Why does it matter that all users have iMessage? All I/We want is to remove someone from a group message that doesn't require to key a new group.
Again, poor programming. I should be able to delete or add or name my group at any time regardless of what device they are using😠
I found that when you go to the details for the group you must press and hold on the “greater than” sign on the far right of the persons name. Then swipe left. I was trying all sorts of things before this.
Also, you cannot manage a group with mixe operating systems. Everyone must be IOS.
