I had a problem with extremely low volume on my Iphone 6 - SOLVED!.
Other functions like, speaker, bluetooth were OK.
The solution was a big surprise to myself - since I was sure it was SW or a setting somewhere.
I carefully cleaned the little slot in the glas in the frontside of the phone where the sound comes out in normal use. I used a little piece of cotton with a little water/soap for dishwashing - do not soak it in water - did this app 5 times. I then used alcohol - did this app 5 times.
I almost cannot believe the change it did ;o) I had to adjust the volume down again.
So in my case it wasn't SW or settings - but simply dirt (not visible to me) that had to be mechanically remowed.

So, you think they lied to me at the Easton Store in Columbus? She said it had only affected a handful, and was no longer under warranty, and I was on my own.
Now I’m sad too ... still paying for my iPhone 7 Plus as well.

I had already tried cleaning it. It was not dirty. I didn't mute the sound either, which is another helpful tidbit.
Tried cleaning. This is not the issue with my phone.
This is definitely an issue with the software update downloaded the phone diagnostics app and ran it no hardware issues were found.

Mine phone call sound level got improved(not fully fixed) after 11.3 update. So I'm sure it's a software problem...

Guys, i had the same problem, i just updated my iOS version and the problem is solved now
I did not happen for me.I had updated to iOS 11.3.1 and the problem still persists.They should send a patch to resolve this issue.
Upgrade to iOS 11.3 solves the phone call volume problem for me, but since then, quality of the phone call is very poor. It sounds like cheap phone for 20€ not 1200€...
Same here. This was the last straw.
The easiest thing to do is put it on speaker that is next to dial button when you make a call. The sound is loud and clear and you can adjust that with volume btton
