Day one and a bright green line has appeared down the right side of the iPhone X. Anyone else having this issue?

I got the same issues..but it got covered by replacing the unit

You can aldo check my instagram @irz.kaizer

I’ve put the video there

The green line is more brighter than yours and the screen is tend to be “greenish”

For the new unit i charged with the original cable from apple and never charge it to 100%

It seems to be a hardware issues till we got the next software update to prevent it

For a $999 phone, i’ve so dissapointed

At first day, it was no problem till i update the software to 11.1.1 (via OTA cuz it’s only for 50mb) on the second day.

After update, i played with it and suddenly the screen is “blip” and the green line showned, with all the screen appears to be more “greenish” and brighter than usual.

From my examination, maybe i could concluded something about the green line.

1. It happens from a defect hardware, but it triggered by a false electricity, so always charger with the original cable and adapter.

2. the OLED screen is more fragile than IPS, anything wrong/bug with a software could also triggered the same problems. Always put the display brightness on the middle (or not full brightness). It make sense cuz the true tone display follows the circumstance when we are. If it’s warm it tends to be brighter. If you pull out the brightness it will over contrast and make the OLED “popped”.

3. In some cases i’ve seen on twitter, the green line starts to recover when using the wireless charger. It seems something about radiation from it, or the wireless charger recovered the false electricity inside the hardware.

It happens; people buying far more expensive items have also had failures - anything made by humans will.

The point is, there are more than enough photos here to recognize the issue, and the knowledge that Apple or your local servicer will rapidly get the issue addressed should be enough to assuage anyone with concerns.

It's upsetting with a phone; I know people who have moved into a new $1M+ home only to find out the roof leaked the first time it rained.

I did. I went to tbe nearest mac center. The problem is accidentally spilled a glass of water on my phone. And the CS representative said that once the LCI (liquid contact indicator) turns red the warranty will be void and i need to pay for the diagnosis ($40) and if i want a replacemeng i will pay $780.

Water damage is not included on their warranty and she said that phone is only for splash and just misunderstood the specs of it.
