So the Apple rep you spoke with is aware of this issue we are all having with the ATV4K? Did he mention a fix is on the way or what?

I’m having the same issue as well. I have an LG 65” SJ8500 with Dolby Vision connected to the Apple TV 4K. I’ve tried turning the SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) settings off and on on both the Apple TV and LG and still have the same issue. Glad to find other people having this issue because I almost returned my TV thinking it was defective.
Did you try not plugging ANY device into the ARC? In other words, do not use the ARC HDMI input for anything and see if that works.
Yes, I hard 3 HDMI ports on my t.v. and only 1 has ARC written on it. I tried the 2 others I believe one said MHL? and the other said DVI? and it did not solve the problem.
Also experiencing this with the LG C7.
Apple, please investigate and patch this issue in the next tVOS release!
Same problem. LG 2017 65 inch OLED C7.
Same problem w/ the LG B7. Running it through a Denon 4400. Going to try non ARC HMDI based on these comments. Really hope Apple gets their act together and fixes this issue.
I went back to my Costco HDMI 2.0 cables while keeping Match Frame Rate turned off and it still works perfectly so that was the problem for me apparently.
Echogear cable is ~ $13. I switched to it and it seems to work (at 60 Hz Dolby Vision). For $13 its worth a shot.
Worked ok with the Costco cable for a few weeks then the problem cropped back up. Now back to the Echogear and everything is working so far.
well perhaps I should just swap the cables like you have them configured before I drop another $30 on a 2nd belkin cable. Thanks for your input!
well I pulled the trigger on a 2nd Belkin 48Gbps cable and the issue persists (No Signal, Invalid Format, flashing white snow). So is this an Apple TV issue, an Onkyo issue, or an LG issue?
Whatever.... Guess we're all delusional on this thread. Apple fan boy!
Worked perfectly on my first try! This problem has been troubling me for months ever since I've got a new TV. Thank you very much for posting this very simple solution.
It happens on SDR as well. Not DV issue.
I am thinking this is an HDCP handshake issue with the TV and the devices. Since LG is taking a very long time to release a new firmware update to the US, I am hoping this will be fixed, soon.
