Apple TV 4K Random HDMI Signal Loss

Anyone have a similar issue they have solved? I originally had the issue of flicker that was solved on my LG C7 by changing motion to User set at 0, but an issue I am having is the signal from my ATV to the TV drops out randomly. Usually I can make it through a show, but a movie it will drop at least once. Audio seams to reset here and there too, but it comes right back with the little Dolby Vision logo on the TV flashing. To get the picture back I have to put the ATV to sleep and then turn it back on. If it wasn’t for the free 4K iTunes upgrades I think I would just be done with this thing. I have tried brand new cables too by the way.

Hopefully this will work for everyone. I bought this HDMI 2.1 cable off Amazon ( Amazon.com: ECHOGEAR 4 ft Braided HDMI 2.1 Cable - 4k Compatible With Gold Plated Connections For the Best Picture - Sup… )

ECHOGEAR 4 ft Braided HDMI 2.1 Cable - 4k Compatible With Gold Plated Connections For the Best Picture - Supports HD, 4k, and Ethernet Signals With 120fps Refresh & 48gbps Bandwidth.

It has worked with no issues and I'm no longer experience any signal loss. Doing my research I found that HDMI 2.0b can't handle 4k TV's with 120hz native refresh along with Dolby Vision; too much bandwidth. Any HDMI 2.1 cable should work but if you are buying off Amazon, PLEASE read the reviews and descriptions first. There are some companies claiming their cable is HDMI 2.1 compatible and it isn't. The Echogear has worked for me with no problems for over a week. I'm running an LG 65" 8500 series TV with Dolby Vision.

So the Apple rep you spoke with is aware of this issue we are all having with the ATV4K? Did he mention a fix is on the way or what?

Yes, I hard 3 HDMI ports on my t.v. and only 1 has ARC written on it. I tried the 2 others I believe one said MHL? and the other said DVI? and it did not solve the problem.

Same problem w/ the LG B7. Running it through a Denon 4400. Going to try non ARC HMDI based on these comments. Really hope Apple gets their act together and fixes this issue.

well perhaps I should just swap the cables like you have them configured before I drop another $30 on a 2nd belkin cable. Thanks for your input!

well I pulled the trigger on a 2nd Belkin 48Gbps cable and the issue persists (No Signal, Invalid Format, flashing white snow). So is this an Apple TV issue, an Onkyo issue, or an LG issue?

It happens on SDR as well. Not DV issue.

I have exactly the same issue - cutting out, usually for about 1-2 seconds, only with Apple Music played through my LG 4k TV and attached Onkyo stereo amp. Have you figured out a fix?

It cost me $80 AUD to get this cable from Amazon.com.au and it did not work for me. I have 2 of the Belkin cables and they don't work either.

So I updated to tvOS 12. Guess what? Same problem. I have an open call with Apple so have let them know. Not holding much hope now. Probably will just return for the second time:(

Same issue for me with 4K HDR programming, mostly on Netflix that I've tried. The screen blanks for a few seconds every few minutes. My display is a Sony VPL-VW285ES.
