ׁWhen I'm using my custom Hebrew keyboard, I find that some characters don't appear in keyboard viewer.
While this is mildly irritating for some issues, I mapped all of the cantillation characters to option-numbers and none of them appear. Since I don't recall which is which, this is incredibly problematic.
Is there a way to change the keyboard viewer so as to show these characters ?

I think his problem was only with a custom layout he had created, while yours is with 2 layouts provided by Apple, so they may not really be the same.

well. I have the problem in two different computers with two working accounts but not with fresh (and void) account in both of them.
I deleted some preferences and fonts but that didn't help.

So both of the working accounts have the same thing in them, presumably not from Apple, which is interfering with Keyboard Viewer. The problem is how to figure out what that might be...

I thought it was Parallels (with Windows 10) or Microsoft Office or Adobe products or Skyfonts... But I restarted my computer in Safe mode (so without them) and also there was "last resort" font (with its ??) in the Return key and in Hebrew and Arabic keyboard...
With Sierra all was ok with the same environment, however. Only after the upgrade to High Sierra I noted the problem.
Perhaps best to just move to a new account, but try this too,
PS Sorry, I confused vowel points with cantillation accents, so I see why you need a custom layout.
The layout works, it's just that the keyboard isn't displaying properly, now.
Thanks for sending the layout. It displays fine in Keyboard Viewer on my High Sierra, so it must be a local system problem. In my email I made some suggestions, let me know if you have any luck.
Unfortunately, deleting that preference didn't accomplish anything on my computer, nor did restarting in safe mode.
Try setting up a new user account and see if you have the same issue when logged into that.
No problems in my guest account
Go to applications/font book and do File/restore standard fonts and restart.

you are right, but I haven't still found what font...
Change user helped: the Hebrew and Arabic accents appear, but restoring the system fonts not still, I don't know why, maybe I've too fonts...
