iphone 6 randomly shutting down - black screen with spinning wheel

I have the same issue in Sydney Australia as of around midnight last night. Only thing that I'd done differently was allowing the phone battery to run flat last night, but I can't do anything with the phone without it restarting every few minutes and it's running extremely hot. Restart, full reset doesn't work and can't restore backup from cloud or iTunes because the phone constantly restarts itself. It's unusable at the moment.

I'm having this problem too - it only started last night. I was almost late for work coz my bloody alarm didn't go off! I can't do anything coz Apps keep shutting down not long after I've opened them! IPhone 6. Currently up-to-date. Plenty of battery. Have rebooted several times. Arrrrgghhhh!

I also got the same issue on right at 00:00am 2nd December. My iphone 7plus goes to spinning wheel & gets locked after every 40,50seconds. Apple pls fix this bug seems like destroying & much disturbing.

I have the same issue since around 2 AM Dec 2nd India time. Tried hard restart but nothing changed. It’s now restarting - black screen with the waiting circle - every 30-45 seconds. iOS is upgraded to the latest version.

don’t see any response from Apple anywhere.

Is Apple support sleeping?

We also have this problem with an iPhone 7. (Based in north west Queensland - 5 hours from the nearest Apple or Telstra shop!) No rhyme nor reason to what is happening - just keeps going to blank screen with spinning wheel and then back to Home screen. Also correct Clock time shows on front screen, however can not access any alarm / timer information or settings within that App. Can seem to open most Apps but they self close after about 3-4 seconds. Battery has gone from 77% down to 37% in less than an hour. Please help. This is very frustrating!!

I am in Melbourne & having the same problems with iPhone 6s. Anxiously hoping for some help. Meanwhile, your temporary fix seems to be working. So at least I can use my phone until Apple get their act together!!!

I also have this problem on my iphone 6!! Kicks me out of any app i'm in at the time, black screen with the circle thinking icon, phone hot and serious battery drain, my battery is 7% but it suddenly turn off. Apple please fix it ASAP

I’m having the same problem - phone screen goes black with spinning icon, shuts down in the middle of using my apps. Rebooting, shutting phone down to rest, I even tried deleting an app that seemed to have the most trouble (The Weather Channel app) and reinstalling but nothing work. APPLE SUPPORT - PLEASE HELP. Problem started 8 Dec, 9:00pm EST in USA.

same issue here since Dec 1 9pm Singapore time... phone is not usable at all! kept rebooting until battery flat this morning.

Same thing happening with iphone 7.

Same problem here in Melbourne, starting early this morning Dec 2, 2017. Tanking intervals now less than 30 secs, from 2mins, getting worse. Tried the usual. Anyone have a solution yet?

Same thing happen, it starts from 6 AM Jakarta time. Clock app is hang, others too.
