Custom lyrics not showing iOS 11.2

After updating my iphone to 11.2 recently, I noticed I cannot look at my custom lyrics I added via iTunes on my phone anymore. There is no show lyrics button. Why is this? Is this a bug or is this how the app is for the foreseeable future? I am seriously, deeply sad and angry that this feature has been taken away. It was literally the only thing keeping me in iOS.

I noticed this issue too and I am furious about it. The only reason I still use iTunes is because it allows me to add custom lyrics for offline viewing. Why on earth would they get rid of this? Hopefully this is a bug or something.

I will delete my music from my phone and reload it to see if that does the trick. I’ll update you guys.

Update 1: not even deleting and re-adding my music and restarting my iPhone brings up the ability to see lyrics. So I’m EXCEEDINGLY ANGRY 😡 with Apple right now. I may as well go to Android cause there is no difference in their music apps now.

Update 2: I found out how to show lyrics after throughly messing with the music app. You have to 3D Touch the song to play it and the option to show lyrics will be in the drop down menu. A VERY STUPID DESIGN in my opinion.

Yes !!! Thank's. It works for IOS 11.2.6. A little bit complicate, but better than nothing.

It's more than one year now that this bug persist. What's happened !!!

Are the mac programers begin to be totally incompetent ? I know about programming systems, and I am sure that this bug is not so complicated to solve, so please, what the **** are you doing ????

When I said "It's work with IOS 11.2.6" I talk about the trek from Retxed24 listed above.

I to, I am angry against Mac. And I know a lot of people they fill the same against their agressive politic marketing of mac. They think we are stupid. They have voluntary put some slow-down inside the system to push people to buy their new model. The same politic with the planed obsolescence of the accumulators. If this will continue, I will I turn to Chinese products. Shame, because IOS could be a very good system. It is almost a very good system.

But I can't accept anymore this agressive politic of Mac.

Something else is very strange. I have done a cable synchronization again with my iPhone with checked only the chosen pieces of music, and the choose playlist. I have dechecked everything to sychronyse nothing, but instead, all my pieces of music are in my iPhone. Or I expected to have nothing because I haven't checked anything. I don't understand this sort of synchronization. I thought that I could have on my iPhone only the checked Album, And if it is an Album on my iPhone I don't want anymore, it was enough to have the checked box of this album empty on my synch list. But this don't work.

So I've gone laboriously through this thread and many other sites like Reddit where this issue crops up. I am utterly at a loss as to how to resolve this.

I'm using an iPhone 6s, running 11.3 (which supposedly corrected this problem from 11.2).

However: I literally cannot find Lyrics anywhere. It does NOT show up as an option when I do the whole mini-artwork-song-shows-up-in-pink-press-and-hold-on-the-song-title method described, and I updated to 11.3 when it was promptly released and it resolved nothing. Still no "Lyrics" showing up anywhere in my system. And yes, these are songs that have "Custom Lyrics" checked and lyrics populated for them on my desktop and laptop copies of iTunes. And yes, I am a signed-up user of the Apple Store with a working Apple ID and everything.

I think flat-out it's just stupidity on Apple's part at this point. Laziness in quality control. Other people talk about having to completely re-install their libraries and so forth and nobody should have to go through that just to have a feature that worked perfectly fine on older devices and OSes.

Why does this have to be so artificially complicated? Why not simply let us have lyrics for a song, and a lyrics button that is ALWAYS there right in the song-expanded view window, and it's greyed out if there are no lyrics but if you have them then you just click. No hunting around or guesswork or complete change of where it's hidden with every new release. Apple used to pride itself on consistency in its design philosophy and logic and intuitive ease-of-end-user experience. Did all that really die with Steve? Beginning to think so.

Tonight I'm downloading 11.4. So let's see if MAYBE Apple can fix something that wasn't broke in the first place until they 'upgraded' it.
