I have a IPhone X. Yesterday, all of a sudden, the widget for Apple Music began appearing on the lock screen. It takes up most of the lock screen so new notifications are pushed down and barely visible without scrolling. I cannot figure out how to remove the widget from the lock screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I regress; unfortunately the widget came back. I have tried every fix in this forum as well as others and videos. Still searching, because this is very frustrating. I have Bluetooth at home, in my car, in my office so it constantly comes back on and this is NOT when I have even been using my music.
Ok!! I have tried everything and at best, got only a
temporary fix. Rebooting the phone will work, but it comes back as soon as it’s connected to my car’s Bluetooth
Sooo.., here’s what I did. Go to both Bluetooth devices and start from scratch. In other words, forget both devices and re-pair.
So far this has worked. Will keep everyone posted ... fingers crossed!

settings>face ID & Passcode - allow when locked is near the bottom, turn off control center to see if that helps.
Unfortunately that did not work
I don't think you can get rid of it then. I hope someone with more experience with this can help you.
Interestingly, I found this video and used the first technique and it worked. But then after a week or so it came back! So I have now deployed technique #2...hopefully that is a permanent fix!
Once you do that power down your phone and turn back on

It's easy. Go to Settings --> Notifications. Turn off the Music App's Notifications in Settings - problem solved.
Thanks but did not work. I followed your instructions and it was gone for about 2 hours, and then the Apple Music Widget was back on lock screen again.
