I have a IPhone X. Yesterday, all of a sudden, the widget for Apple Music began appearing on the lock screen. It takes up most of the lock screen so new notifications are pushed down and barely visible without scrolling. I cannot figure out how to remove the widget from the lock screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I've noticed the widget comes back after I've been in my vehicle where the Bluetooth connects. If I go in the house and turn my phone off it disappears again until I get back in my car and it comes back.
I did all of those as much as I could actually do it on iOS 9, which I am stuck on. I want the Music widget to actually show when I am playing music but not to show when I am not playing music. I never saw the today view
in the touch ID section I think that's what was doing it, i'm not sure which one was actually doing it, it has been driving me crazy.
This doesn’t work. As soon as you use a devise with Bluetooth it comes back. I want to see the pic I put on my screen lock NOT the iPhone music widget. Please explain to me why Apple can’t write a program to fix this!!!!!!
I have tried everything that YouTube video showed, and everything all these users have mentioned, nothing works. I’ve restarted my phone multiple times and it still comes back. It’s extremely annoying, does anyone know if Apple is aware of this glitch?

None of the methods recommended here or on YouTube have worked. Once I get in the car and the phone connects via Bluetooth, the widget comes back. Not connecting to Bluetooth is not an option in my business.
I regress; unfortunately the widget came back. I have tried every fix in this forum as well as others and videos. Still searching, because this is very frustrating. I have Bluetooth at home, in my car, in my office so it constantly comes back on and this is NOT when I have even been using my music.

I don't think you can get rid of it then. I hope someone with more experience with this can help you.
Interestingly, I found this video and used the first technique and it worked. But then after a week or so it came back! So I have now deployed technique #2...hopefully that is a permanent fix!
It Worked!!
It's easy. Go to Settings --> Notifications. Turn off the Music App's Notifications in Settings - problem solved.
Thanks but did not work. I followed your instructions and it was gone for about 2 hours, and then the Apple Music Widget was back on lock screen again.
